          Another pink thread, eh?

Well I'll say the same thing I said on the others. I hate pink. I also don't wear nail polish but that's beside the point.
Although I do like guns that aren't solid black. I have OD rifle and another wrapped in multicam camo-form.

I don't care if it makes them look like a toy to not be solid black. My guns are MY toys and they'll look however I want them to.

I would encourage everyone to have their guns whatever color they want them to be (within the law, no orange tips or anything). Whatever you like, it's your property so have fun with it.

The color of the gun is completely unrelated to being a responsible gun owner if you have kids in your home or where they might be able to access your weapon.

                Poit!

I think I'd prefer the Ladysmith version despite the branding, over the other 3913 versions or a 3914, just because I like silver and grey, and prefer the angles.

An orange and black Glock would be fine for Giants fans.

I wouldn't otherwise speak for any Pink Pistols, but can point out that the "pink is gay" historical reference in the name would be the Nazi pink triangle patches.

Last year I made an offer of a brick of free .22lr to anyone under 14 who got their first rifle for Christmas and needs the ammo. Of course, I require a parent to contact me and local pick up. I also offered a day of NRA certified instruction and shooting on private land. This year, should I make the same offer but, for fun, stipulate that it must be a pink gun? BTW, I already made sure that spyguy had enough ammo on hand for his daughter to gt started. He does but, it reminded me that Christmas isn't that far away and we are still experiencing a shortage of .22lr. Anyway, should I go with pink gun only or keep it open to all .22lr rifles?

I say if it encourages more non-shooters into the sport the more our ranks grow, and maybe they will grow out of the 'pink phase' later.
I still think they look like toys.

Again, for myself, I would never own any 'designer' weapon. I prefer them au-natural.

Then, again, if the manufacturers had made them when I was under ten who can say....

Purple is my favorite color maybe I would have wanted a purple one....

A system of licensing and registration is the perfect device to deny gun ownership to the bourgeoisie.

Color is a matter of personal choice, it does not affect me one bit what others chose.

However, I do find it alarming that all a company has to do is slap a pink ribbon on their product and they get a free pass. "see, we are helping donate money to an organization that claims to fight breast cancer" everyone gets all warm and fuzzy.

However, when smokers in this state are taxed on their choices, and the funds do not go to lung cancer research, but to pay for preschool for low income families, the attitude is completely different. "oh you smoke? your a POS. You deserve to die.

How many prostate cancer products/events do you see? Almost none.

While I personally find breasts much more pleasing to look at, I dont believe that should be a determining factor when it comes to what could be life threatening illness for another human being.

Why punish the children and limit it? You would not have pondered the concept until you decided to chime in on this thread.

I just found a populace more self-centered than actors, and no, that is not a compliment.

I'd prefer that companies leave politics and social campaigns out of their products & services. If individual board members, share holders, employees, etc., want to donate to a cause, that's great (as long as they are not coerced into doing so as we were in the military). One of the things that most people fail to realize is that these so-called "donations" to charitable causes are actually tax write-offs for the corporations. So you're buying the products thinking that the company is helping, but it's really taxpayers that are footing most of the bill. It's like a taxpayer-funded marketing campaign for the company.

But your rant is really OT for this thread. Most of the discussion is related people buying pink (or other non-military colors) for the sake of being different, not for supporting breast cancer causes. The pink rifle I bought for my daughter certainly has nothing to do with breast cancer.
