No global update from DOJ. They will need to check with their FFL. For example I have a guy scheduled to come in today ~6pm. He was supposed to be approved on 4/11. Still not approved as of right now.

Mine was up 4/11 at noon, it cleared today 4/13 at around 4pm. Current CCW holder and a previous DROS background check was completed about 60 days ago.

My 10 day was due on 4/11. Just got a call saying my status went from pending to delayed. Previous background check was completed/approved 3-4 weeks ago... Gotta love this stupid system.

I started DROS on my new toy 04/02/20 @ 1520:29. Now on day 12, still no pickup as of this morning (pending status). Current CA & AZ CCW holder. Former LEO, former FFL, current exposed carry license with the CA BSIS. Phone call I got back from DROS (yesterday) when I called the direct line (for dealers) was they couldn’t do anything to help out. Auto populated emails from public DROS/DOJ was the same BS, “sorry for your troubles but we are with in our rights to screw everyone over as much as we want due to COVID-19 and increased transactions”. Gotta love the state of California.

I have three DROS that were due on the 12th and two are still pending and one is cleared. The one that cleared is a regular customer and the two still pending were first time buyers. Although my DOJ rep indicated that she believes it is an across the board issue, there is evidence of exceptions. When I talked to her just a few minutes ago, she indicated that the delay is running around four days. She stated that staffing issues were the cause. The explanation as to why they are pending still and not officially delayed is because they simply haven't done the background check to determine if it can be approved. From the history of this thread, it seems it is a phenomenon caused by the weekends. I'm definitely not making any excuses for the DOJ, but I wanted to share my observations from my personal experiences. This is the first time it has affected me and believe you me, I am not pleased...

Status doesn't matter. I honestly think this is purely first-in-first-out for the person assigned to it. And the people going 12-13+ days have slow(er) agents doing their reviews.

E.g., I had 3 people on a certain day. 9am, 10am, 11am.
9am got approved on day 10 + 6 hours
10am got approved on day 13
11am got approved on day 11

All 3 were probably in different DES agent queues with some agents faster than others (is my guess). Otherwise, I would have expected to see sequential approvals if all my DROSs were assigned to the same agent.
