He had claimed that he wanted to hear the experiences and opinions of people here. It appears that this was a lie and he only wanted to hear people that agree with his point of view.He withdrew the question.lol WTH did he expect was going to happen? He came to LEO section and posted what he posted. Lol
I see drivers constantly being pulled over by the CHP. Great bunch of guys dedicated to make our highways safer. And they do a lot more than that. Carry on boys.

Go to the Frazier Park exit of I-5 going south. Then drive a bit north on a parallel road so you can see truck drivers cresting the summit and heading into the Central Valley. Count how fast they come. It is one every four seconds, 24/7. Now notice their speed. Their speed limit is 45 there. Two miles north, right across from the CHP office, it changes to 35 mph. Doing the math, this is 21,600 trucks in a 24 hour period, all speeding. Hell, when a trucker fuels up he is going faster than 35.
This is almost 78 million trucks entering the Central Valley a year, all speeding, with the CHP doing absolutely nothing about it. If each trucker were caught on camera and given a ticket for just $100.00, this would be $7,800.000.00 --almost 8 hundred million dollars a year.
Why are we not getting this money form lawbreakers? Because the CHP is either afraid of truckers or they are incompetent. Either way they should all be fired and we should start all over again with local law enforcement covering its portion of highway/freeway.Comment

So you want zero tolerance enforcement for all traffic violations or do you simply want to pick on truck drivers?Go to the Frazier Park exit of I-5 going south. Is there a Engineering and Traffic Survey done on this stretch of road? Is that 35MPH Speed Limit justified by such traffic survey? There is much more to speed enforcement than throwing up a speed limit sign.
we should start all over again with local law enforcement covering its portion of highway/freeway.
No city or county want's it's officers tied up working freeway accidents. You obviously have no idea how much time this would take away from city/county officers, not to mention chasing violators into other jurisdictions over freeway traffic violations. Also the CHP does much more than Freeway traffic enforcement. But just fire them.

Wait I'm confused. Are you saying that every truck going into the valley is using a side road instead of I-5, or that I-5 has a 35 MPH speed limit? Even though it's been a long time since I drove that section of I-5 I don't think I've ever seen a 35 MPH speed limit sign on it.Go to the Frazier Park exit of I-5 going south. It's also one of the busiest CHP office's in the state, I doubt they are sitting around in the station drinking coffee, watching TV, they're not firefighter's.Comment

The northbound side of I-5 has a specific speed limit for trucks and lane restrictions. Starts near the top of the hill and goes to the base of the "grapevine". Too many run away trucks over the years. Yes it is posted with Prima Facia speedWait I'm confused. I honestly hope you are just trolling. Your idea of enforcement is ridiculous and fantastical.Go to the Frazier Park exit of I-5 going south. Please contact your state representatives and voice your concerns of there not being enough CHP to enforce the speed violations. The state representatives are the ones who approve (or disapprove) the CHP budgets.Go to the Frazier Park exit of I-5 going south. I see them all the time. Not that I'm actively looking for them --- oh, wait, I am actually looking for them --- and I check myself when I do see them.I have been in California now for over 6 years and in that time I have never seen a California Highway Patrol unit on a freeway pull over not one of the excessive speeders (doing more than 20 miles over the posted speed limit), reckless drivers who constantly swerve from lane to lane, or tail gaiters that ride so close if you tap your brakes they are going to hit you? I see motorcycle officers and car units watch this stuff go on and yet in over 6 years I have never see one person pulled over. Oh, I see them responding to the aftermath wrecks but never proactively enforcing the law. Why is that?
I have been pulled over up and down the state. Lectured, ticketed, etc... Fortunately not in a few years. But, I'm older and wiser now. Always happy when some a-hole driving crazy gets pulled over.
I'm grateful they are there. The race is not won to the swift or the strong, but to the one who endures until the end.
