I have been in California now for over 6 years and in that time I have never seen a California Highway Patrol unit on a freeway pull over not one of the excessive speeders (doing more than 20 miles over the posted speed limit), reckless drivers who constantly swerve from lane to lane, or tail gaiters that ride so close if you tap your brakes they are going to hit you? I see motorcycle officers and car units watch this stuff go on and yet in over 6 years I have never see one person pulled over. Oh, I see them responding to the aftermath wrecks but never proactively enforcing the law. Why is that?
Try harder. 😎Originally posted by ACfixerthere's plenty of sissies and snitches roaming the hallways here.Comment

Yeah they get those people all the time.
The problem is a numbers thing. There are far, far more reckless morons on the road than there are cops to deal with them.
Some of these reckless morons are even here on this forum. They complain about slow, cautious drivers and display an anger-riddled, IDGAF attitude.

I see them making enforcement stops almost every single day on my way home from work. The simple fact is that there are a lot more a-hole drivers than there are chp officers.Comment

My favorite was one time I was driving through a construction zone doing 55. I saw the chp about 4 cars back from me. Guy behind me gets annoyed and passes me doing 80. Cool throws the lights and justice was served

I follow the laws of the road, if I see a CHP pulled over, I change lanes to avoid them. I pull back over to the driving lane and keep going. I'm not a looky loo or cop watcher. I very seldom see cops here in Nevada, they are there, but I try not to attract them. I imagine, these days, many of them are protecting your Governor.I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.Comment

I believe a CHP officer was once asked this very question. He replied:

All else being equal, at least theirs was halfway decent... Hypothetically speaking, IF I said I thought both our lip sync and running man videos were LAME, I'd probably get disciplined... or actually these days, fired...They're too busy doing this: https://youtu.be/GofxkpEY6UoLast edited by Samuelx; 09-08-2018, 11:24 PM.Comment

CHP still gets to actually pursue suspects.I have been in California now for over 6 years and in that time I have never seen a California Highway Patrol unit on a freeway pull over not one of the excessive speeders (doing more than 20 miles over the posted speed limit), reckless drivers who constantly swerve from lane to lane, or tail gaiters that ride so close if you tap your brakes they are going to hit you? Maybe you should walk in and ask them in person?Comment
