Thanks for putting the "(evil laugh)" thing there.

I thought that was the sound of a kitten coughing...

Good thing you cleared that up....

BTW - I don't think that you're making anyone mad. You're simply astonishing them.

        Good luck then.

        Here will be some advice.

        Post less and gain/get:
        1) More weight
        2) Strength
        3) A clue, because if you're serious you have better things to be doing than getting all bent about posts on the internet.

BTDT's don't care about your odyssey of issues. Either you make it to your first post or you don't. Simple. You are not the only one who fails at this thing, and if somehow you navigate your way through it, great. Be a good Soldier and be competent at what you do. If you don't then move on to something else.

However, if you make it TO basic, then be quiet. No one likes a loudmouth, a braggart, or some dude whining about how things were "just like high school". Great, whatever, you're not the only one. One of the best Soldiers I worked with used to be "that guy" in high school but he never said a word about it. Whining or "HA! I TOLD YOU SO'S!" won't win you any friends, and they'll set you up with the crappiest shifts at night doing fireguard.... and more. Cut that crap out, it's old. Plenty of people went in, opened their mouths one too many times, and then got smacked in their manpleaser.

Until you make it, graduate OSUT or Basic/AIT, depending on what your MOS is going to reflect whether you stick with 35 or not, then just be quiet. Making your failure public, and then berating people when they gave you sound advice even OFFERING assistance, sounds like you want someone, strangers even, to pat you on the back and tell you it's ok and that it's all sunshine and love and shet. If seriously need that.......

Almost everybody lies about something.. Even recruiters and DI's have lied.

          To the OP.
You might want to think about another career besides the military.
With your F'd up leg, and past history of more than experimental use of drugs. I don't think you will make it. It will require waivers up the a**, if you get them. Also, in basic, you will be ruthlessly thrashed physically and mentally, your leg may not stand up the the abuse.

Also, you may end up relapsing if you make it, drug addictions are hard to kick. I knew a few guys that did, they were kicked out fast. They will not tolerate period, especially since you are a past user/abuser.

With that said, good luck with your pursuit.

`Well i weigh'd in at 103 pounds and im 5'7, so i failed...I gotta be someone like 115 to get in, WHY?Who knows...If i gain the weight im just gunna lose it right?Well ive been eating a burger a day(Carls or McEEEEdeees) and eating everything, PLUS drinking weight gainer 2000(2000, since it gives you 2k worth of calories for every cup), and its been lil more than a month and im 107, sometimes 109.So...Yeah, on to resting my foot, sometime in FEB i injured my foot, fell off a building during parkour...I poped it out with 2 stretched ligaments, 3 fractures, and a bruised bone(yeah idk). But at this time i didnt know that or the doctors...They assumed just a bad sprain...Well after waiting 5months my insurance gave me the green light for an MRI, since i keep *****ing about a bad sprain...They find out i have 3 fractures...Well yeah...They said dont walk on it and should be fine and theres no need to caste it.Well today i feel resistance when i move it(kinda hard not to walk when you can) and i cant ball my foot up(Make a fist i guess you can say), and it looks swollen and bruised and waiting for another MRI since my insurance says i dont need once since i already did one...
And you thought you had a chance in a Ranger battalion?

First, if you weigh 107#, you'd probably die in Ranger school. You have to carry heavy crap long distances. I've heard it's not uncommon for instructors to lose 20 lbs there. They had a problem with guys dying of hypothermia in the jungle phase in Florida after getting wet. They were too tired to shiver and bring their body temp back up. My friend who was a Ranger gave me a "true quote from Ranger school" - "Dude... can I borrow your toothpaste?" "No way! You're just going to eat it!"

Second, the leg thing. You ain't carrying an 80 lb ruck through a land navigation with that, dude.

Maybe I'm wrong, maybe you could hang. But I doubt it - to me the drug addiction thing suggest you won't be able to keep it together when you're so cold, tired and hungry that you start hallucinating and talking to trees and challenging bushes to fights.

That's because they're incentivized to get people in and make their quota. Did they also tell you it's a crime to lie on your paperwork?

Hate to tell ya' this but with "2 stretched ligaments, 3 fractures, and a bruised bone" your foot still might not be ready for the stress it's going to endure in basic training.....

Good luck then. If you get broke in basic, just admit you got broke and go home. If you make it, then don't be a crappy Soldier. Simple right?

You guys are giving this poor dude some great advice on here, too bad it looks like he's missing the points you all are trying to make. I think I will make a different thread about my future military career...

And dude, 103 at your hight is skin and bones. 30-40 sit ups is a middle school requirement. Smoking weed makes you a druggie. I hope you can take the smart advice here on Calguns and make the right choice.
