So, what happens when we get the 15000 signatures? I see we're around 7k right now...how long do we have to get the 15000 signatures?Comment

But craftfully, using the very laws that the California passed, a group of people created the bullet button. Which essentially makes a magazine fixed and requires a tool for the magazine to be removed, as specified by the law. Allowing AR-Style rifles to be exchanged and used in the state of California.
I guess, with the drive to make some money for circumventing the allowance of a bullet button, a guy who has a patent pending, took a magnet that mates with the bullet button and figured, "Wow, I'm a clever bloke. Now I can make a lot of money."
Some reporter and editor in KCBS decided, huh? Let's go to the gun range, since guns are the hottest items right now. Women are buying themselves guns as presents for themselves. Let's see what they are shooting in them there ranges. Holy crap, it's a M16...oh, it's an AR. The guy using it is loving the adrenaline of squeezing a round or two. Cool, now let's ask, why are the assembly and senate who seems to be unable to do anything around this state is allowing these "evil" weapons that cause adrenaline rushes to be used in California. Oh, the excited shooter, also shows his already, technically, banned magnetic, patent pending tool that he picked up at the Cow Palace for $25.
Having done nothing for a couple of years, and just lost the mayoral election, Yee or someone in Yee's camp showed him the newcast. "Wow, that's wagging the darn dog. People will feel safe, now that I am banning a 'military' assault weapon." "They will then forget that the state is 16 Billion dollars in the hole and I and all my Democrat colleagues have no idea how to get us out." Let me take this aggy bill that is in limbo, gut and amend. Done. Now we have the story thus far. Let's hope it ends happily ever after, for us- NOT YEE.Last edited by XD40SUBBIE; 07-03-2012, 4:41 PM.Comment

Except when this gets signed into law, those "free" states are going to be next on the chopping block, in fact, another "permanent" AWB won't be that far behind if 249 becomes law here.
And I don't believe that the "free" states will welcome you with open arms, you're "contaminated" or "tainted" in their eyes.
I'm sorry for the negativity, but with today's vote, I've pretty much lost any and all faith in this state. Moving out of state will only be a temporary fix until the elections...
With all the anti-gun laws already passed in this state, how could you have suddenly, "lost any and all faith" in such committees? Give the drama a rest.
Those who have been keeping track know the score. With activism, and the recent legal jurisprudence, we're not doing so bad. The state's gun laws are highly suspect post incorporation of an individual right to keep and bear arms.Comment

It was posted in error and caused considerable confusion.
The error was pointed out multiple times in this thread.
There are 6 members on the PS committee. Yamada is not one of them.Live between Santa Cruz and SLO? Want to get involved?

[QUOTE=shadowofnight;8865163]I have many times, and agree with you./QUOTE]
Do you not like your freedoms and the fact that we can own ARs and AKs with the use of Bullet Buttons?
Are you intentionally trying to give them more ammo?
Did you not see the posts where they quoted gun forums as being racists?Comment

I stand corrected then, thanks Goob. Still don't like her - she needs to go too!Comment

Shadowofnight--As evidenced this morning, Yee couldn't even tell you what a bullet button was--how do you expect him to stick something in it???Comment

Right. That was pretty good when dude asked him which is illegal and which is legal - how's that for show and tell? But, that means nothing to a kangaroo committee that's already decided this was going to pass. This is evident by allowing a poorly written, poorly represented bill. If it was this easy, we should all write laws. I'm thinking of writing one that will be called the "Gun Control Bill of 2014: Whereas, every citizen shall be compelled by law to own at least one type of gun. Learn how to use it and practice at least once every two months. Californians will be limited to only 2,000,000 guns per person or $10,000,000,000 in value, not including accessories or whichever is greater."Last edited by XD40SUBBIE; 07-03-2012, 5:03 PM.Comment

I think it was more of the letter of the ad..."conversion kits" sale, moments after SB249 passed. So it was as someone said - bad timing, albeit it had nothing to do with SB249.Comment
