Ok.. smack me down and send me back to my home site...

    but..

What do you folks think of trying to register an AR with an ARMaglock on it. If I have to submit photos of the weapon's mag release and that mag release happens to be an ARmaglock or a BBV2 won't they have to make a decision on whether or not they will accept that as an AW? If they refuse could that be used as a way to validate the new locks?

Yeh.. I know.. back to the misfit toys

Probably true. However, if so they will have to ban all semiauto rifles. They have tried at least twice before so I am sure they will try again, and may succeed in 2018. Then we're all screwed for sure. Maybe that will be the overreach that will wake up the indifferent masses in CA and/or give us legal standing to finally win a judgment in a decade or so.

It won't happen just yet. They'll wait until everything - featureless or not - is forced onto a registry like an AW and then 'pull the trigger.' Exempting themselves, their friends, and their private security who can get special permits, of course.

              Agreed, they do of course.
Thing is though, makes for an interesting discussion board, when you can't really discuss anything of substance.

May as well just speculate to ourselves.
No need for calguns.net in it's current form, so just make it a static news feed.

It was in 2013. They will likely try again, but the link is not that. Yet.

So instead, let's self-censor ourselves because we fear big brother watching and listening? Should we leave blank the major source of California firearm ownership law, trade and discussion? People need information to stay within the law. Being opaque because we don't want big brother to hear our grumblings just puts more people in jepordy. Because California demographics made the passing of the 7 bills plus 63 inevitable, our one chance to directly address these bills was focusing on creating a referendum by signing the "gunmageddon petitions." That didn't happen because we couldn't mobilize CA gun owners fast enough.

I think it's good that they listen to us. The more we stay in compliance and work around their poorly written laws, the more they write thenselves into corners, thus giving gun owners legal footing for future court cases. In the end, this will all be torn away in court.

Uppers are not serialized. How will they know "it's the same?" - Compare to hypothetical "registering Glocks."

Featureless, because then it's essentially a SACF hunting rifle, which they think is the only reason the 2A was written.

Receipts for online sales? If they do that they are effectively banning registration.

The DROS date should be enough, but we will have to wait until the registration begins and people start getting rejected.

All the guys with tinfoil hats seem to have been right. Photos surely lead to inevitable cross reference during confiscation.
