Use the ACLs to capture logins and... viola - you've just made it a bunch harder for them to screw us over.
Any 9yo Playstation nerd could figure out their way past a silly ACL.

If you want to keep the DOJ out you need to close the forum to the public and start an extreme vetting process on every current and future member. In other words ain't gonna happen.

It's a funny idea, but impractical. Implementing it (and generating enough fake content) would take a ton of work, and as soon as they caught on it would have been all for naught.
Or we could just redirect ifilef to CALCCW or something when he logs in.

Yep. You could potentially have an invitation-only subsection of this site, where such discussions can be had in privacy and the members are well-vetted, but unfortunately that also wouldn't change much, since the problem is largely derived from new members asking questions without reading the pinned threads first.
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

Basically you'd take a live copy of the site with certain posts redacted or replaced with other data instead of trying to create a wholesale separate site with fake content (think curated, not wholsale new forums). Also, by capturing which logins come from DoJ addresses, you'd be able to tag their identities and then see what other logins come from their homes, etc. Come on, I've gotta try and come up with something to make their lives equally miserable or else their unending regulations are gonna drive me nuts before I can move out of this armpit of a state.

You still have your 6th grade 1337 h@x0rs club handbook or something?

You think even the most basic DOJ agent knows not to create a login whilst on the DOJ network? Not that any one of the myriad of hidemyip.com type sites take care of that. Not to mention you don't need an account to browse content.

Not to mention they could just browse from home?

Sorry, the whole concept is dumb.

Yep. Amusing idea, but not practical or useful.
