They have all the bargain D2 models and even titanium and M390 steel models which are totally different where they use a framelock instead of a liner lock design. Titanium/M390 framelock's jump to $225 street price. These D2 linerlocks with ceramic bearings and perfect centering seem to be the new import bargains.

So if they are $50-$65 models, are you carrying them?

Those look nice too. I think if you jump up to the $225 range it'd be tough to pick one over a ZT 0452CF or something similar made in the USA... but the $50-$100 China liner locks are kicking some Benchmade Azzz IMHO. Eagerly awaiting my WE knife... should be here this week.

If they start throwing in some nice titanium clips on those I'll not be able to resist.

Decided to carry my Cold Steel Code 4 CTS-XHP clip point today. Big folder but very thin (about 8 mm) so I hardly notice it in my pocket. It's not assisted but you have to be careful closing it because it drops quick after the blade reaches the end of it's rotation clearing the lock lever.
I think all my CS folders are gone now and the only waver I have is that bowie tipped Kershaw Emerson.

One of the lockback I love is the CentofanteIII because lots of reasons, but one is the blade drops free when you press the lockback and can index on the fingernail for easy one hand closing. Of course there's supposedly nothing stronger than a TRI-AD.

Bought a little Kershaw Shuffle as a knock around EDC nice size not to big and should fit the bill for me. $12.00 shipped. (fixed it.

In before the jokes. Good deal, cause I know what you meant.

                Those Shuffles look really cool.

I got a shuffle a couple of years ago. It's build very well. I could live without the bottle opener but other then that I like it.

Yeah some people love them (bottle openers). I don't know why I think it is cool on a traditional. When I have had them on big5 knives I thought it was cheesy. I have a kydex key organizer and one of my "keys" is a bottle opener that I use pretty often, and I have a lot of other bottle openers including two cartridges where the brass has been cut to open a bottle - one is close to a 5.56 and the other an actual .50 BMG... and yet I still bought another caplifter just now:

That is a SOG Agency in black. It had been sitting in the case at Gunther's for over a year just calling to me. Finally gave in. Still looking for my first kill with it.

The Liong Mah was a splurge from the blade forums. Saw it & grabbed it. Definitely a very enjoyable fondler. As I've given up cigars I needed something to "finger" whilst I read/study/sip spirits. I REALLY like it.

Now that I think of it, any of you guys have links to folks who make custom scales?

I haven't adjusted my CentofanteIII... don't think you can because it is a rivet knife, but I adjusted my mainspring on my Ulize that was too strong. My Centofante drops to my finger as soon as I depress the back lock, then I rotate and close it like you would a liner or frame flipper... spring was never tough. Great knife. Does have blade play but for a rivet knife that's a feather, I overlook it. It is about 10x the knife a Benchmade Pardue is.

WE 617 got here. Super smooth bearings and soft opening. Feels like the detent is too weak but it is not - it won't shake out, but it just super smooth. Great fit and finish, nice clip is not too tight in the pocket. I am not crazy about the black paint. Nice two-knife case and tool to adjust. ZT 0452 for scale.

Oh, nice. That's a Southard. How do you like it?

I liked the WE 617 for $82 it is a good knife, good features, etc... but I won't keep it. The WE liner lock, black paint, blade shape... dunno which or all, not a keeper for me. I'd probably keep something like a $75 LINK M390 over it. Might try a Artisan, maybe not. They cost more, but the last two ZT's I got are a tough act to follow.

The Spyderco that looks cool to me is the Silverax - that Southard does too, just didn't know about it.

Ive been drooling over some of the WE offerings for a while, just havent picked the right one or pulled the trigger yet
