For going with Rocky MTN ELK FDN I received a free Elk skinner when I made a donation. No pics, I have been off real activity on site for three years.

Wife got me a Spyderco Endura with a damascus blade not long ago. I had been wanting a Spyderco, but also have been wanting something with a damascus blade; lo and behold, best of both worlds!

Not long ago, I picked up a Ka-Bar Dozier folder for a pretty inexpensive price. It's one of the D2 models.

I haven't given it a 'beating,' but I've had it sitting at the desk and have been using it for the odd chore here and there. I wouldn't consider it in the league of, say, a Benchmade Griptilian, but it's been doing a fair job so far. It's a little stiff in terms of opening and a little small/thin in terms of handling. However, it has proven, thus far, to be fairly corrosion resistant and the blade remains sharp with the factory edge. One of these days, I'll try sharpening it and see what happens with one of 'my' edges. The lock has proven fairly solid to this point.

Anyway, for the price I paid (under $30, though, normally, I've seen them for as little as $37), so far, I figure the appellation of 'value' or 'budget' knife seems fitting. Given that I can get approximately 4 of these for the price of a single Griptilian these days, for a knockabout blade to do the odd job that crops up, it does kind of take the tarnish off such descriptors.

I don't know if you want to call it a knife, but I just received a reproduction Samurai Katana.

I picked up an ESEE 4 in S35VN...

I'm hoping to turn it into a 'fishing knife;' i.e., one which can be used when most of my activities are in or around water. I can't wait to get it out and give it a try. The 3D scales are a derivative of those The Knife Connection has had available for years. Thus, somewhere down the road, I might swap them out for what I perceive to be a better color, provided the knife works the way I hope. The handle is just, barely, long enough for my hand size and I'd much prefer a bit longer one; though I'm hesitant to try the extended scales TKC has available. The ESEE 4 is a bit 'thick,' but I'm hopeful it will fill many of the duties of a carbon steel blade while being more corrosion resistant.
