ESEE makes good knives. Post a picture when you get it.
sigpicC'mon man, shouldn't we ban Democracks from Cal-Guns? Or at least send them to re-education camps.

I just checked... Cabelas Visa took the hit two days ago. Busse should send a shipping notice and then we can track those.

Sweet Infidu!! Is that hollow ground?

I have users that I abuse, but too many blades. I want to use them though. That's why I tend to not buy blades that are too pretty to ever use. Nothing parkerized or powdercoated is that pretty - they just get more character after beatings. If it is a hand polished blade it'd be hard to beat the tish out of it (at first). I do love to look at beautiful blades though. I'll post an recent example of one I love to look at but would be afraid to own. I guess that's why I like Kershaw, ZT, and Scrap Yard, hahah. I'll beat the hell out of a $140 SYKCO all day long.

This guy makes some beautiful stuff.

That Shobu looks pretty sweet.. I also don't buy pretty blades either because I intend to use them. Some of the customs that sell for $1000 plus I don't think I'd ever buy because they'd just sit in my safe. I also seem to like sticking with blades under 6" besides a few Rats and SYKCO's, but some of the big Busse's I don't think I'd ever use. I'd more than likely bring a 4-5" fixed blade, Silky saw, and a Gransfors Wildlife hatchet or Small forest axe.

Here's an updated of most of my fixed blades. I forgot a few Benchmades, Fallknivens, and Mora's, but didn't feel like taking them out again.

No, but the reflection makes it look that way. Hollow ground knives sharpen beautifully, but I like the strength of a flatter grind for hard use.

Looking forward to the Trash 2. I'm curious how it will handle.

That is quite a collection, I'm envious. I like the Survive 5.1 and you have three of them. Very nice. A Rodent 9 and, what, a 911?

I've got a Rodent 7 which I have grown to love. I actually really like the handle, its like the rodent 9's.

Is that an original TG in INFI?

Thanks Scott, I think I have a problem..lol The Survive 5.1's are awesome and I'm looking forward to the 4.7 and newer 4.1 I ordered a month ago. Good eye on the Rodent 9 and 911.

That's actually a RatMandeux LE in SR101. The TG in infi is on my list for one of these days.

You're going to love your Infi-mandu. I still haven't used mine yet though, but it feels great in the hand. However, if you do pickup a 5.1 you'll love the handle ergo's because Guy did a great job on the 2nd gen.

I think we need to start a Knife and Gun Anonymous thread. We are many and the problems should be addressed.

Aside from the Blackheart Gunner-12 I bought last year, I too have drifted away from big blades in recent years. Camping or backpacking now I bring a 4-5" knife and a small axe or saw. There's really nothing you can't accomplish with that combo.

Very nice, I definitely prefer to have the axe, saw, and a medium fixed blade. The one tool big blade option could work, but it's just not that efficient out in the woods. Most of the time I will head out with a 4-5" fixed blade and my Silky Pocket boy or if I want something bigger I'll bring the Corona. It's so much easier to process wood with the saw compared to chopping it with a big blade. Then breaking the wood down to kindling and tinder with the fixed blade. The smaller fixed blades also give us more control, when we're doing finer wood work. I'll use the Rodent 9 and 911 car camping or messing around in my backyard, but don't think I'll ever pack one into the backcountry.

I like your fixed blade in the pic. What's the make and model?
