Finally got my order placed with MMHW for the Persian Fighter. Can't wait to get that one. It will be my first special order type knife.

Maybe some ignoramus or automated audit system thought your "Persian Fighter" knife was not from good old West Fork, AR USA !

Almost funny, but not funny. Good choice. That's a great looking blade. I imagine it'll be a huge hunk of steel in person. Sounds like it is easily over 20 oz. I bet you will love it.

Yea it turns out after many phone calls to PayPal and finally working my way up the chain of supervisors I finally got them to admit that the name of the knife triggered the initial problem but then they claimed MMHW refused payment or had some issue on their end which is complete crap.

Barry and I talked a few times by phone and I know it had nothing to do with them it was all PayPal. The sad part is they are considering changing the name of the knife now. Then today I get an email from Barry and now another customer is having issues with PayPal as well.

My wife gave me a Benchmade Impel for my birthday. It is a real fine knife, but being a Benchmade it is overpriced. Top quality, fit and finish and you pay dearly for it.

Yeah, a $15 or $30 China made Kershaw won't compare to a USA Kershaw or a USA ZT. Just like a $40 Chinese Redline Benchmade or Benchmade Design Chinese made "H&K" knife won't compare to a USA Benchmade or Black Class blade.

You do mostly get what you pay for. Under $250 dollars anyway, IMHO. BUT, if you want REAL value, get a USA made Kershaw with decent steel.

Personally I have had more expensive USA Benchmades with issues than expensive ZT's with issues. A knife where the blade play cannot be adjusted out easily is a problem. So is one that doesn't come sharp, but not as big of a deal.

Chinese anything, I always expect blade play - and always get it Except for maybe a few Spydercos.

Buck 110 folder. I know just a pedestrian knife. This one is unused and came with the sheath for $35 shipped. I think it's out of their custom shop it was made in 1992 and has a polished blade with Safety Award lasered on the blade in about 1/8 letters. It was a replacement for one I had bought in the early 70s and lost in the 90s.
