    Navy MKII combat knife.

The absolute latest arrived Today from MidWayUSA.

My wife bought this for me......for my Birthday......

It came today and she is still at work.....looking at the paperwork from MidwayUSA this knife was Backordered and she ordered it from an email
      Notification from Midway.

      But......I love her........

She's a big supporter of my neurotic Prepper mindset......yeah, it's a Hobby but
It's something I love to do.

Here is a photo of the "Rawles Voyager"

Wow, it's BIG, 12 inches long for a Folder? What the hell kind of sheet is that..?

      Hahaha.

I must say it sure feels good in my hand.....

It will go in my get home bag.

      Thank you Wife.....

May the Bridges I burn light the way.

        Couple of Traditionals

All USA made with American sourced materials and American Labor.

Well except for some of the packaging.

Ka Bar on the guard, nothing on the blade. I was hoping for a Camillus. The sheath has proper looking marks.

            I'm still happy for $25.

Put the blade in a bowl or a glass of raw white vinegar and let it soak for 48 hours. It will knock all the rust and crud off and who knows some markings may appear.

Here's an axe I restored, before and after the head got a vinegar bath:

Did not literally buy it, but I got my 3yr renewal NRA knife.

This thing is HUGE and weighs a ton.
                    Nice assisted opener, though.

I got my Spyderco Yojimbo II. This is a very impressive knife... I think I like it more than the PM2.

comparo pic with the usual suspects... yojimboII is thicker stock and hollow ground (like the Ulize)... slick as snot. Love it.

I have a collection of survival type knives and have focused on getting the knives that most frequently show up on top ten and best lists. My latest and greatest is my new Fallkniven A1. If i had to walk into the wilderness to live with one item only, this would be it.

                        Others in my collection are;
                        Fallkniven F1
                        Becker BK2
                        Camillus USAF Survival
                        Buck 119
A couple decent small bushcraft knives from less known makers
A couple big nice Tantos from Kabar and Cold Steel
Bear Grylls and Les Stroud survival knives - not my first choice, but either would be a hell of a lot better than many $20 kives with a compass on the handle and a survival kit stowed inside the handle.

I have axes, hatchets, machetes, and swords too, some really good, some not so much.

Welcome to the forums. The Fallkniven A1 is one of my favorite blades of all time. Ever. You chose very wisely there. See post #1079 if you want to see a custom sheath I got for it. Never been a fan of Becker or Cammillus or Cold Steel though, but I know many people do like them.

Curious to see your axes and hatchets as well....there's an Axe, Hatchet, & Tomahawk thread in these forums too: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s....php?t=1087526

Congrats. The specs looked beastly for sure. If you could post the actual weight without kydex and take a comparo pic that would be interesting and appreciated. Looking forward to your pics!
