Looks great. I bet that thing is 22 ounces or so. If you wipe it down, all that park dust will reveal a mirror edge and maybe a hamon. Nice blade!Comment

It's got a mirror edge just can't see it in the image.
I guess you can tell I like black bladesComment

So it looks like MMHW has had to change the name of the "Persian Fighter" as they had another issue with a customer and Paypal. Pretty pathetic that this is happening.Comment

"Upswept Fighter" is much less threatening to the "Your rights end where my feeling begin" crowd and the agencies wasting our tax dollars.
Still, it probably would have been a safer bet to call it something like "curvy knife".
Wait till the California Assault Knife Ban of 2020.Comment

Yep, I told Barry he should just call it "The Knife"Comment

Just picked up a benchmade griptilian for a edc blade. All the reviews I read were great, and it felt great in my hands. Any of you fellas have one? experience? sturdy?Comment

I don't have a Grip, but I have a few with the Axis lock and I like just about anything with that lock by BM. They do that type of mechanism well and usually the fit and finish and their bushings are great out of the box. I only have one Presidio that has some blade play that won't adjust out. Generally I prefer stronger detents. If you get something with an Axis Lock, you probably cannot go wrong. A broke-in BM with phos-bronze bushings is as smooth as anything and real sturdy.Comment

Went to bass pro in Rancho yesterday looking for a flashlight, decided to go check out some blades and saw this Mora Pro S for 14 bucks, had to buy it.

The Griptilian is probably one of Benchmade's most popular knives ever produced. Ironically, I don't have one but if you search around the 'net and Youtube there are literally hundreds of reviews on it. I do have several Benchmades though and I agree with crufflers that the axis lock is super smooth and sturdy but with one caveat: You better keep it relatively clean or its hello gritty city. For normal edc they're fine but for real down and dirty stuff you're going to have to take that thing apart and clean it out real good every time. I know from experience.
I considered buying that new good looking Crooked River folder of theirs as a backup to my main fixed blade hunting knife (which happens to be a Benchmade also) but realized there's no way I want an axis lock with all that hair and blood making its way in to that lock. Speaking of hunting, deer season starts tomorrow!!Comment
