I dunno, I wasn't paying attention to which ones were premium or not... hard to tell sometimes with Spyderco. Those guys are pretty funny. Eric is pretty humble. In that interview he says they are way behind and just figuring things out when he is talking flippers and phos-bronze bushings, etc... true. I hear people just LOVE that old Brad Southard... I never tried one. I had a Positron on pre-order for a long time and then canceled because it was delayed or just was just taking forever. I know China make things to whatever spec you give them, supposedly... I just prefer the Colorado, USA, Earth knives. They seem better, smoother, no blade wobble. There are plenty of premium Spyderco's for $100-$150 street prices.

For me though, when I flick open the YOII's it sure doesn't seem like Spyderco is behind at all... but that's one knife. How many does ZT have?

For a further update on my recent buying activity, see Post #2029 above.

Just one ZT remaining on my "wish" list -- a 0452CF. Will probably buy one shortly. That'll make 10 ZT's, which will complete my ZT collection (for now) and allow me to focus on other things.
That's a nice one... you might want to pre-emptively get on the ZT site and request an 0801 pocket clip which is about 10x better than the anemic one they supply with a 0452CF.

Post a pic of the clone 0560 with the real one or I am going to report you.

I meant to say, please post a pic of that clone when you get a chance. Very interested in seeing what they are selling on that site.

          They have quite a line-up.

<--- smiley icons make everything ok... post the pics.

            Wow, those are pretty rare.

That guy selling off the collection sold two damasc Shallots for a lot less....

I am selling off a large portion of my collection. Hospital bills for my newborn came in and I need money fast, so these are priced to move. Haha. You are a character. Don't get me wrong, it is cool.

Argue with me over the Sharpie I PUT ONTO THE LOCKBAR FACE on the actual knife I owned because it has a known "feature" wherever titanium touches steel that I witnessed always on that actual knife. Called lock-stick and it is a actual thing... a bit of sharpie residue and it is gone for quite a while. Just saying The real reason for lock-bar inserts.

Maybe the previous owner before you paid to have it carburized or the lock stick that was always there was removed b devine intervention or a group of teenagers with a Ouija board. I dunno

              Just trying to help.

That's a new old stock SPEC-OPS Combat Master - the old style with screw liner retention instead of the new velcro... but I have quite a few of the new style and they are just as good IMHO.

I bought this one off of a BF member new with the tags still on, he was selling with his Forsaken Gemini (perfect fit but you can mold insert) and the buyer opted for kydex so he sold seperately, but it is a universal sheath - up to 8" blade or the shorter version is up to 6" IIRC.

I've molded inserts wider and thinner for .31" down to 3/16"... very universal sheaths if the knife is not too wide - they say 1.75" but you can go a bit wider... heat gun, hair dryer, iron after removing insert.

If you want lighter look for the old BASIC model.

Combat Master, basic with molle light pouch added , Combat Master, Basic with
                                nothing added.
