    Saiga conversion problem *pics added*

I converted my Saiga and the bolt and carrier are hitting the hammer. I can force it into place. My question is should I grind the hammer face or just force it until it fits? Or. . . ?

You could lightly polish the hammer, don't take any material off though unless you know what you are doing with it though.

Is it just grinding against the hammer, or is it actually sticking? If you pull the charging handle back and let it fly forward, does it go over it? If so, just lube it and cycle a bunch of times or take it shooting and it will smooth out.

It is actually sticking. It has to be forced into battery.

Inside the action without the bolt carrier and then, maybe with the bolt carrier on and bound up if, you can get some close ups of just how it's hitting the hammer.

I dont see how there could be an alignment problem. Isnt it all pre excsisting holes? Dont grind anything yet.

Are the springs and hammer inserted correctly? Sounds rather elementary, but it happens. Are you using a g2 trigger group?

what happens when you install the FCG pin retaining plate? does the hammer have enough room to move? it might be binding because the selector side of the hammer needs to be trimmed to fit and move freely.

I just did my conversion last night and mine does the same, the bolt skim over the hammer when you pull it all the way back and when you let go it'll go into battery, but mine doesnt get stuck like you said.
