That's true, but that's not to say competitive shooting doesn't help proficiency in defensive shooting. "Real world" guys bring in top competitive shooters to train them as part of a larger program. Top level competitors have fined tuned the mechanics of shooting in a way defensive shooting doesn't focus on. Cynically, I think the good doc will do whatever brings in more cash/members.

        Agreed on all counts.

No doubt competitive shooting is some awesome training for gun handling. I've progressed as a shooter by leaps and bounds in the last year + a few months because I started shooting USPSA. 2 and 4-day defensive handgun is practically nothing compared to USPSA. TH and ATH are fun and challenging, but the shoot houses and scenarios they run you through in TH/ATH is really mind blowing. Tactics and strategy from there are WAYYYY more important than leveling up your classification in USPSA, imo.

I don't know about you gents but, thanks to N.B. shooter, I pulled the trigger on the $100 for $1M. And, I made my wife do it too.

It's been a while since I've looked at my Dr Piazza offers folder. What's the latest offer?

                  Jedi,
the latest is you can now be a knight for 5k. It was 20k first time it was offered. You can also get in on the 5% club. That's the 1 million points / credits for $100 (real money).

As a knight you can have 9 friends join you for private instruction. Not sure if that was there before? Does anyone know who makes the 1911 you receive?

For those of us in ca how do we get the guns he offers. For instance the 1911 on the knight offer. How would that work for us in Ca?

We can probably swap it for a Gen 3 Glock 22. [emoji2357]

Based on the past, they have a certificate for your gun. You need to give them the name of your local FFL for shipping. If you don't want the actual gun they have options for you to pay more $$ for a different model. That is what happened to a another member with the shotgun deal.

Pulled the trigger on this offer, unfortunately since my wife likes FS, for me every offer costs me times two. Im sure there will be future levels of Knights. So, more offers to come.
