Well our group of 24 will be going out in Oct - Ran into a price snag at the Winery restaurant - guess its been sold and prices went up for our private party that we have had there for over 8 years.

Anyway any suggestions? There aren't to many places we haven't eaten at in Parhump.

What about the Casino's - anyone try there meals/buffet? Thanks for the input.

Red Sky Bbq has set up a buffet for a larger group. Not a fancy place but they did a good job. Might want to chat with them.

            Jerry,
Can you clarify what's been sold? Just the restaurant?
More details please. I typically stay at Wine Ridge.

Our group coordinator was told this sometime last year about the restaurant - we been staying at the Wine Ridge for years - the restaurant always gave just a good deal for our get together - last year it changed somewhat - this year alot.

I haven't notice any changes in the campgrounds with pricing etc - still the same as last year for a single or doublewide units.

                The Fighting 5%

So those of you that have gotten this email, already know this, but for those who didn't the points / credits are now becoming worthless. We can't use them in the Pro shop because there is no merch. The only thing of value is the yearly $50 background check or the machine gun fun shoot.

My case in point, I didn't respond last month to the latest offer. After a bunch of last day, last hour, last minute emails, I get one this morning saying I have another chance to double, triple, 4x, etc. my account. But here is the icing on the cake.

"Here's the original e-mail I sent in July. Take advantage of it at the highest level you can OR simply select the $100 level of participation to receive ONE MILLION Credits/Patronage Points placed into your Front Sight account and I will order and deliver your Fighting 5 Percent pin and hat."

There you have it. A million credits for $100. Finally an actual value on the points/credits.

The writing was on the wall when credit inflation started years ago with no way to stop it.

It'll be interesting to watch how Dr. P will change the game to get out of honoring points for usage at the "resort". Of course the obvious solution is to never build it.

Wondering what the next chapter in the saga will be. I think the resort/hotel theme is played out. There's plenty enough ranges. Perhaps action ranges for hosting competitions. Maybe a restaurant/cafeteria project..

At least the points and Iggy Bucks can still be used for our yearly background checks, right?

Question: For machine gun shoots, those points can be used to buy the ammo? So at least there is some value to this.

That's awesome! It's cool to see another staff member earning the HCM certification.
Now he gets to update his day 1 introduction.

Having FS host competitions would be awesome. USPSA, IDPA, Steel Challenge, IPSC and so forth. They could do monthly matches along with sectional and national events. It would could be "world class". They could also do the demo days for SHOT show and other events. Doing so could actually bring in cash.

Not saying it wouldn't be cool, or that diversification is bad, but I don't think Dr Pizza would go for it. The FS brand is about defensive gun use, not recreational or competitive. FS bread and butter is firearms instruction, not sports.
