Hilary is the man. I'm 6'5 and I still feel small standing next to him.
You know how when you go through the shoot house on Day 3 (spoiler alert!) The instructor hooks a caribener to the back of you?
Well, Funny story about that. I happened to be walking past a shoot house where staff was doing training and I literally watched an instructor hook a caribener to Hilary who then proceeded to literally DRAG the instructor through the shoot house.
The poor instructor (who had just been hired) was learning how to take students through the exercise and Hilary was demonstrating to him that you have to be prepared for virtually anything because you never know what the student will do in that scenario.

I had Hilary and Sgt. Major for a handgun skill builder and those two were constantly busting each other’s chops. I remember Hilary saying something about Sgt. Major being so short he could parachute off the edge of a nickel.Last edited by Vinnie Boombatz; 02-02-2022, 12:24 PM.sigpicComment

Can that class be reasonable to succeed with a bolt rifle? On the web site they recommend this instead of the Practical Rifle class I think."... when a man has shot an elephant his life is full"- John Alfred Jordan

I took Marksman with a bolt gun and it was appropriate. About half my class were bolts, the other half tricked out ARs. Box mag helps will faster loading, but I did fine with my internal mag. I was next to two muzzle brakers. I wish they didn't allow brakes. I was doubled up on ear pro and my tinnitus is worse.Comment

That sucks, and a great reminder for me to spend some money on custom ear plugs. I always double up indoors, but shorter barrels and brakes can be rough whether indoors or outside.I took Marksman with a bolt gun and it was appropriate. It's a muzzle BRAKE, not a muzzle break. Or is your muzzle tired?Comment

The issue is not that "Front Sight has always been a marketing drama" the issue is it has always been a fraud.Do not feed the trolls and hopefully, they will go away.
Do not get baited in a back and forth response which just dissolves into personal attacks.
The old thread got visited with the same type of bitter users and their same
age-old agenda so opening up another thread will probably be the same.
We need to take back this thread with constructive posts and how to best move forward. Whether you stay or decide to go, we are all adults and know what is best for us and no one should disparage your decision.
Front Sight has always been a marketing drama. For those of us who have been there, we all know the training is good, the staff is great and for those of us who have taken training elsewhere, we know that there is no other place quite like it.
my two centavos...
I can see only one honest sustainable way forward. DR charlatan needs to go.
After that there are many ways forward. An outside buyer could be found. The current membership could form a corporation and buy Front Sight from the bankruptcy court. Other options I haven't even thought of.
Of course you can always support and continue the fraud.Comment

Awesome!
Got to shoot my DPMS "Kitty Kat" 7.5" AR-15 last year in a Private class.
Hitting steel, kneeling at 100 yards......good fun!
It has a SERIOUS Bark!
