just thinking out loud here but I feel like this thread has already run its course and it doesn't actually make for a good continuation / replacement to the original FS thread.

This has been a good place for people to try and figure out what Piazza was going to do, what recourse members would have going forward if he reneged on his deals but now that things are going back to the status quo, people will make their own choices and that'll be that.

The original thread was great because it served as a place for those who did train at FS to share advice, experiences, and for those of us to learn from each other.
If a person were to stumble across this thread and somehow make it through the first 10 pages of it, I doubt they would stick around and learn much from it.

Ace, maybe time for a Version 3.0 on the Front Sight thread and re-title this to be more relevant to it's content?

    just my .02

The question is, can I spend FS bucks in support of Jedi54's $0.02?

But yeah, this thread must be the longest unlocked pissing contest thread I've seen. So much argument only supports FS in its popularity via notoriety

We get it. I think it's time for you to move on....many of us already have. Keeping this up isn't good for your blood pressure.

Several of you keep making the same case over and over again but when I do I need to move on? Is it that I strike a nerve? FS is the Walmart of gun training!

Pot calling the kettle black there buddy, don't you think?!

Didn't strike a nerve with me. Quite the contrary though, seems like your nerve is repeatedly struck by others here simply because they aren't subscribing to your perspective.

I've stated my opinion on the matter, but don't have any issue if others here have a different opinion or approach on how they are going to handle it. You on the other hand seem to go after anyone who doesn't see things your way.

He has no conscience. We were the founding fathers and were supposed to get our names engraved in the monument he did not even do that. He went back on everything he said he was going to do unless you forced him to get it and even then only a fraction. I was there when the training was good that was 20 years ago. Now I go to Gun Site, not as often but I am better than I could have ever gotten at FS. He will either file bankruptcy and start it under a new company or best would be if some one who has real money not stole money buys it and re opens it. Either way you can wipe you *** with your life time membership's. I would not travel there for fear on the way they close and you get to Wally World when it not open!!!! IMHO
Your just angry and butt-hurt because you spent however much it is that you spent. So that's everyone else's fault? You appear to be on a mission to insult and embarrass and talk down to everyone else who got (in their own opinion) their money's worth, when you claim you got shafted. I think your blaming and going after the wrong people here. I upgraded to the Knight in November and then these changes happened, which sucks, but I'm not going after every person here who didn't upgrade, have spent less than me and what not. By no means am I justifying Piazza's business practices. However, I'm also not going to post all over a thread going after people and give them a hard time because I made a poor decision and shelled out for the upgrade. I'm at peace with that and I think you should just focus your hatred and temper tantrums elsewhere (or maybe just stop them altogether) because the people your going after didn't put a gun to your head and make you buy that membership years ago. You come off as the type who is miserable, and because your miserable you can't stand seeing others happy so you're going to go to great lengths to make sure nobody else is happy.

You have already mentioned many times that you've received superior training over the years at other facilities, and because of that training your a better shooter than you would have been if you just trained at Front Sight. You even went as far to say the last time Front Sight was decent was 20 years ago? So you're telling me you've been harboring this hate for Front Sight for 20 years and you're still going strong with that hatred (evidenced to your dedication to this thread).

                      Time to salvage the thread.

So I’m very impressed at my 12” barreled AR at my last PR class. There were only 2 students as it was a miserable cold week. After the test, the other student, Scott, left as he was tired and Hillary Gavenda took me to 200 yd line to shoot at steel. Using cheap PMC Bronze I had 10 out of 10 hits on steel with 5 in the gong! This was shooting using a 40-round magazine as a monopod.

So I’m building a new 13.9” upper with a Criterion barrel and LMT bolt and will compare it to my 18” Larue rifle. If I can get similar sized groups with 77gr BTHP ammo, I’m taking Rifle Marksmanship again. It would be awesome to take Marksmanship with a short barrel, wouldn’t it?

An SBR with a bipod would look strange, though.

Those are some good results with your 12" barreled AR. Should keep the weight down for Rifle Marksmanship class.
                          How much does it weigh?

I should really weigh it. It’s not light enough for my taste but definitely lighter than the 18” gun I used last time for RM. It currently has a heavy Griffin Armament handguard meant for suppressor use and a relatively heavy 1 – 6X Sig Tango6 LVPO. The new upper and a new optic may fix that. Hoping for an upper that can be used for both PR and RM.

Do not feed the trolls and hopefully, they will go away.
Do not get baited in a back and forth response which just dissolves into personal attacks.
The old thread got visited with the same type of bitter users and their same
age-old agenda so opening up another thread will probably be the same.

We need to take back this thread with constructive posts and how to best move forward. Whether you stay or decide to go, we are all adults and know what is best for us and no one should disparage your decision.

Front Sight has always been a marketing drama. For those of us who have been there, we all know the training is good, the staff is great and for those of us who have taken training elsewhere, we know that there is no other place quite like it.

                                my two centavos...
