10mm/.40 Bullets - JHP or plated? And favorite Loads

I could use a little help from the reloaders of 10mm and .40 S&W. I use a fair amount of Xtreme plated bullets now for 45acp, 45LC, 44 Special, 32 H&R Mag, and. 38 and mild .357. I'm ready to now start loading for both 10/40 and need to buy some bullets but I'm not sure if plated are sufficient or if I should go with JHP? We seem to be getting close to the limits of plated for 10mm though. I have a fair amount of W231 and am thinking about going with the typical 180 gr bullet. I don't load to hot, I favor heavier bullets and these are for fun range plinking. I would like to hear from the loaders here on what your using and what you have found to work and what does not work. Maybe it will save me the time and expense as I'm looking to buy the bullets in bulk. Please share your thoughts are appreciated, thanks!

Are you or have you used W231 for this?
    Have a favorite load?
Plated worked okay using the low limits?
JHP the way to go? What brand?
    Etc?

I've loaded the 165 gr. plated FNRP from Xtreme at 5.0 gr. of 231 for the .40 S&W. I thought it worked out pretty well in my P239 and SR-40. I blew through those rounds pretty fast. Time to buy some more.

            1. Yes (well, actually HP38, but its the same powder)
            2. Load for PF -- right now I'm shooting production (minor) using 180gr and 5.9gr of Acc.#5, which seems to work well.
            3. Yes
            4. Depends upon cost, but I'm using HPCB (as you saw from my order).

I haven't had any serious issues (yet) shooting it out of a stock G22, but be particularly careful with .40 range brass to check if it has been "glocked." There is a bunch of loading info/discussion/debate on Brian Enos' forums, since .40 is fairly popular round for IPSC.

I'm using 800x for stupidly fast 135s in 10mm. Not particularily useful, as penetration is far less than a lot of other loads, but it's fun.

Be aware that you'll want to measure EVERY load, since it meters like crap. Not a problem for me, as I run it all through my chargemaster and it almost never throws overcharges, but if you're using an auto powderdump, you could run in to consistency issues.
