I realized that might be my issue. I loaded some shorter, but didnt get a chance to check them yet.

That's probably your problem right there. Your barrel might not have any leade, or throat at all. I have a few barrels like that which require deeper seating otherwise the bullet will jam in the lands, especially with a bullet like you're using. You can see it's full diameter right up to the ogive, let that be your guide of where to seat the bullet and adjust your powder charge accordingly.

You might also think about throating the barrel so it's more cast friendly or choose a different bullet design.

Cant fit my fingers in the chamber of an AR. The 1.125 dropped into my egw gauge fine though.

Here we go with the gauges again.

That truncated cone bullet is pretty much designed to seat at that diameter change, it should feed in any 9mm.

Perhaps it's just the picture, but, that case doesn't look like it's been crimped.
                  Kind of flared looking.

                    Agreed, it's not crimped.

Not really crimped. Just enough to remove the bell. Any more than that and it cuts into the bullets coating. I can maybe get a hair more.

Yes, thank you. If you read my posts you would see that when I tested in the barrel it worked fine. When loaded into a mag and chambered the rounds keep getting damaged.

If it chambers then it's fine. I would seat it with just a hair of the bearing surface showing. I have a Lee 124 truncated cone that seats at 1.085, just a bit of the full bearing surface showing, it chambers in everything I have. 3.7gr of bullseye gives 1023fps avg, nice easy shooting load. But that's a different bullet, I dunno how long the nose is or the total bullet length, doesn't really matter. Seat it at the change in diameter, that's the easy button. Then put a regular ol normal taper crimp on it, easy peasy.

                            I'm sure ysr's 4.whatever of 231would work well too.

Thanks. All of my pistols are .40's. Since these are for a PCC/AR pistol. I have a buddy coming over with a 9mm just to plunk test in a barrel that is easy to try them on. After making my own 300 BO, I though 9mm would be easier. O'll probably switch to .355 Blue bullets after I use these up.
