God Mode or Super Mode should help you out.
The God Mode is a feature that can be found hidden in Windows. The hidden mode allows you to view and adjust all settings within Windows.

Win 7-ATE-9, so 10 is the new 9. 9 was the good version (every other seems to have issues) so 10 might be the new Vista... or not...

Win 10 VM works okay, but there are some visual glitches every time I use it, even on the start menu.

When you get tired of looking at the icon, uninstall Update for Microsoft Windows KB3035583

It will remove the icon and pushed update from Microsoft.

I just did not trust the HD after all that. That was back when I would partition a HD for what it's intended purpose was. For C: it was for windows 2000, but it just did not jive when I got it back so I loaded up Windows XP and left it at that. The lowest I ever got with XP was about 1GB of free space so I had to make some deletions and move stuff around.

Now instead of partitions we just use an entire drive (SSD) for the C: and call it a day it seems. I got no probs with that, at least we can use more than 4 drives on the mobo...

nzbget sounds more like a newsgroup program instead of a torrent. Now if it could grab from the newsgroups WITHOUT needing a newsfeed subscription then that would be sweet...

I will look into the others, until then, my u-torrent works

All 6 GB of memory right? Are you with me?

Umm, there are free newsfeeds that include "warez" (aka binaries). You just have to know where to find them. The service sucks, but what do you expect from newsfeeds that are free. Even today the total load for newsfeeds is stupid high for anything people really want (binaries) and that costs real money. For a while though, back in the day I got around the need for a subscription service because I found a usenet cluster that I could mirror the feed without an account. They eventually figured it out and closed that door but news indexers don't talk the way a newsreader does so.. hehe. Ahh good old days from BBS to Newsfeeds. These new fangled torrents still escape me for the most part but they have been useful from time to time.

...but their exists also in the human heart a depraved taste for equality, which impels the weak to attempt to lower the powerful to their own level, and reduces men to prefer equality in slavery to inequality with freedom.

I thought I was easier to read than that. Of course I meant PAYING ones. I do not expect to find many decent newsfeeds (binaries especially) for free unless I am mooching off another account.

Ahh yes, BBS, I used to spend hours a week on the Chicken Ranch BBS. Playing TW2002 Major BBS version was hella fun... And now it is Path of Exile... Oh the good ol' days...

Now that I think of it, it was kinda funny war dialing too. I should try that again just for the hell of it to see how many folks call back with their *69... :O

I just installed Linux Mint 17.1 and am blown away by how nice it is. Everything works including my ptrs and wifi. No need for any drivers etc. Its rock solid so far and wont get infected every 30 seconds like my old win7-8-xp-me- etc did.

Sure it will, as soon as it gets enough market share for your computer to come in contact with enough other compatible computers for a virus to spread.

That's the ONLY reason that MacOS is less vulnerable than Windows, and - similarly - the only reason that *nix is less vulnerable than Mac. Not enough market penetration for diseases to effectively spread. Change that ... boom, headshot.
