i already installed new intel drivers. maybe i need to update the nvidia geforce gt 640m driver but the nvidea utility doesn't have an update driver function. hmmm

otherwise, still mostly happy. some text sizing changed in my quicken 2014 though too.
I've been semi-anxiously awaiting upgrade download... but now I'm not so anxious...

I haven't read a whole lot about actual user reviews... but from what I have gathered, I was really looking forward to it... guess I'll wait for more user reports...

Had to restore Windows 7. Wouldn't recognize optical drives half the time. Screen kept doing a refresh. Computer would reboot by itself for no reason. Why keep beta 10 when 7 was doing just fine.

Not true. Many software drivers are not compatible and may not have win 10 replacements anytime soon. Besides, who wants Billy Gates spyware installed?

according to link in Paulo's post (below), it's not as hyper-sensitive as people are claiming... and it can be disabled if desired (I'm not IT expert, I'm just going by the article in the link - which seems to be good info)

Hm, I wonder why I had no problems upgrading a 7 year old laptop, it must be special.

I tried to check my drivers via Dell's website and the auto-detect. Funny thing is they said my PC was not "qualified" to get win10. Microsoft says my PC is qualified hence i got the invite.

I wonder if it's because I forced the upgrade via the media creation tool instead of waiting until is pushed out to me? It may be connected why when trying a clean install, it wouldn't recognize my serial key at the bottom of the laptop. (That serial worked on a win7 only clean-install vs. the manufacturers image with all the crap-ware).

You have to upgrade before you do a clean install, upgrade will get registered with Microsoft and then you can do a clean install. Your old serial key will not work.
