Turners is not too far but if Ryan (the younger guy) is there, consider going to Sharpshooter for PPT.

People in retail firearm business in general like to make their own rules. Some just out right arrogant.

After 30 years of gun collecting and once FFL holder in the '90s, the two best service gun shops I ever encountered are Guns Direct in Burbank, while a relatively small shop but everybody I encountered were friendly and professional, plus they have some very charming girls working there.

The other one is "EXA" in La Puente. A really small shop specializing in high end 1911 and ARs. The owner is a very young and super friendly guy that goes above and beyond to meet customer's need.

As for the gun shop I really love and bought many, many from was the now closed "Ivory Beads" in Corvina, run by two classy gentlemen, they only carried double barrel shotguns and Safari rifles. They retired after 10 years.
