it never does hinders my everyday life. i don't wear body armor when i'm going to work nor when i'm going to church every sunday although we heard some church shooting incidents in past.

as what i stated in my previous post.. going to the range is a calculated risk and accident's do happen.

is it being paranoid or just being prepared?

if you come in wearing a full body armor and vest then yeah.. that's a mall ninja stuff.

but wearing a concealable low vis vest is another thing.

Agreed - that moves one out of the mall ninja category, into the merely paranoid category.

How about looking at various accident statistics for a little balance? I'll bet there are other activities in your everyday life that statistically place you more at risk....

paranoid is a bit loose.. don't you think?

try hiking to the sierra nevada without water and we will see what would be the outcome. being prepared and paranoid can sing the same tune sometimes.

Then you have wear Sapi plates for added protection. Esapi ca actually stopped a 7.62 rounds.

Like I said in the same post you quoted, I don't see wearing a vest at the range particularly inconvenient, unless it's of the mentioned-full-body type . . .

                        Give me a break guys!!
If you can afford to buy guns, ammo, gear etc you can afford a concealable vest.
Good vests start at about $280 from Maroon Dolphin up to 650 for US Armor.

I wouldnt ride my ZX10R without my leather jacket and helmet. Or drive my car without a seatbelt.

                        To each their own.

I have a couple of them. If someone were to seriously look in to getting body armor, get measured up at a police supply shop. If a "standard" size won't fit you, they will order what you need.

Dual purpose vests are O.K. They don't do either job very well, but it's better than nothing.

B.T.W. When shopping at Southland mall in Hayward.....wear your vest. 2 murders in 5 months. Yeah at the mall
There are 3 kinds of people in this world.
The wise, learn from the mistakes of others.
The smart, learn from their own mistakes.
The others, well......they just never learn.
