If you were referring to it, you would have stated it, not put a blanket statement over anyone at the range wearing that gear, instructor or not. Now you're just trying to cover your tracks.

Who are you to determine what anyone needs? Who cares if they are an instructor, student or Joe Citizen training for combat? Why do you care so much about why people are training? I know, I know. WTF is a "high end force"? I like that you also call what they are wearing BDUs. BDUs are quite old but I guess that would go along with your "high end forces" guys. For what it's worth, no, Army units do not train in "extra tight" shirts, they train how they will be fighting. Training in your gear 5% of the time? Are you kidding? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. How are you supposed to know what works, instill muscle memory or perform drills lasting longer than a couple mags by only being in the gear 5% of the time? Look up any Army (and I'm sure SEAL as well) training exercise galleries/videos and you will see them in gear. It's clear you don't know what you're talking about.

Ok how about this, I'll find the schedule of the next time the range or CQB simunition building will be used for training and you send me a PM the day you want to come and see. I will personally sponsor your base access and bring you to the life and CBQ training range and let YOU tell me what they are wearing during training. And let you take a photo and show everyone your self what they are in fact wearing because I obviously have not a clue.

I may not be a combat operator trainer wih 10 tours under my belt, and 90 confirmed kills, but I have a great standing relationship with the ICE/BP, other "operating" units on base and the R/O's in charge of our live fire range and can get us onto the range to watch them train.


Again shoot me a PM and well work something out and you your self can take a photo of their gear and training they run. The REAL operators run.

I think this thread highlights the different kinds of shooters we have here.

I, for one, would be pissed if someone showed up in flip flops and shorts with my group in our spot. Chances are, that dude aint helping with setting up targets or picking up brass. Ill take a guy with a dump pouch and thigh holster any day over a guy with a tank top and backwards hat.

I know exactly what you mean. But personally I'd prefer the guy in flippies not offering to help and be calm and safe, than the fully dressed out guys who's entire mission is to mag dump and over emphasis every movement they make. Then turn the calm camp and shoot into a SHTF/Zombie training camp and order everyone around so they can lead the drills and make it so they can run down the firing line and have their girlfriend video tape them for an "awesome" youtube video to post on Facebook.

I my self tend to like to shoot with my cousin , old retires and older Christian/Mormon church groups. Calm, orderly and just about having fun and being outside.

I'm no one nor am I dictating what anyone needs or is allowed to have, just making a public observation over a public discussion forum of the over board fad of "operators" and "operations".

IMO if your not one, you don't need to pretend to be one, I mean you can. But again don't take it personal if no one takes your seriously while you role play

I don't, I'm actually for training. But there is a place to and usually not to train and or act certain ways. Again training isn't the issue. It's the acting and role playing and distraction from the people ignoring safety/rules or just being obnoxious.

The same knowledge of everyone justifying muscle memory, I said nothing of specific training or muscle memory. That was all of the guys justifying why they need their Tac gear, not me. I simple just stated how I find it entertaining and funny and how I feel feel awkward and embarrassed wearing 30 pounds of gear to hit my static range or review a muzzle brake.

Having said all that, I'm sure you'll break down and spin my posts to continue picking appartment my words and my meanings of what I post and say half heartedly.
