I met Brad a few months ago. No issues when I was in there. I've been in a couple times - seems OK to me. They never have what I ask for, but always friendly. Sorry to see George go (first George, now Ade) - although George is still in there. One thing, the place seems a little tidier since Brad got there...

But then, I've never had issues at Evans, either. Seems to me gun shops are a lot like other "clubby" small businesses - one always needs to have one's BS detector on when entering...

I saw him walk past before, now he's going back to his car." Hello, it is a retail center. On hearing this, however, Brad bolted for the door to look down in the guys direction, and said "yeah you don't see many Coloreds here ... they don't belong in this neighborhood". .
          Interesting...

Well nearby Mission Viejo is only 1% African-American last time I checked but still a very inappropriate comment. Also next to Saddleback is a store that caters to South African expats. Many of those are white I'm sure but I'm sure some could be black.

Elite is generally friendly but it seems they cater to the "ballers". I'm not one but they are generally nice to me, only time they were not is when I brought a young friend that was dressed kind of urban or gangster whicj I guess he didn't like.

I actually find this a plus! Enough PC smoke free gunshops in CA already, Condor Gun Shop in Desert Hot Springs is a smokers place also.

Because this is easier said than done and most people are not willing to put up the cash or deal with the paperwork and hassle.

This is kind of the point. One guy claims to have a bad experience here, which I imagine was probably brought on by telling the store owner, who just went through all the hassle of the paper work on top of putting up his own money, what he should carry, and now it's a bash fest.

In regards to the smoking. that's just my preference, but it's his shop, so he can do what he wants. If I don't like it, it's my option not to go there, but I'm not going to say he can't smoke in his own shop, or he should carry what I want him to carry. Until I put up my own money, I just find a place that has what I want and keep my mouth shut.

I have bought quite a few guns from George

He used to charge me 10% to do a out of state gun sale. It ammounted to$12.50 for a Remmington derringer. Ive seen some blatant fakes priced like real collectors items in that shop too but they were all consignment items and I was sure George was not in on the con.
