Was out at blm in San Diego today and there were clays every where, these are PROHIBITED to shoot on blm it's because of you idiots that leave your shotgun shell hulls and clays every where that more and more spots are being closed down. We have literally a handful of spots left in San Diego and those are very very close to shutting down, trust me on that one.

Do not shoot trees or lay targets on trees
Do not shoot rocks
DO NOT SHOOT CLAYS they are bright orange and hard to miss on the floor.

Pick up all brass and hulls, this includes wads, and 22lr brass
No steel core/steel jacketed ammo steel case non magnetic is fine (got very close to getting pink gate closed down this year because of this)

Shooting fruit is fine but you still must pick up the bits of fruit or it's still littering

Stop shooting signs that pisses of the rangers out there and frankly I agree it's a slap in there face

Do not shoot across roads or on the road.

Please add if I left anything out, please I know this gets beat to death on this forum but please let's follow these rules we are in serious trouble hear in
San Diego.

Much of the problem is getting this information out. I was out there on Saturday, and every other group there (except Musick's group of two) were shooting clays. I informed the group who was waiting for my spot of the problem, but who knows if they gave a **** what I said.
If we end up loosing these spots, I will totally understand, it will suck, but I understand, because shooters are destroying the place.

I completely agree!! I have spent many hours picking up behind lazy @$$ people.

Shooting-clays....everyone always argues that they are "bio-degradable". They are correct, but in the local environment, they take YEARS to bio-degrade! People need to NOT shoot them, or pick up ALL of the little pieces!!

I am up here in Norcal but I have actually had folks ask me what I was doing when I broke out a shovel, rake, and garbage bags when we were finished shooting....come on people let's keep as many open as possible, give our kids some place to shoot in the future

It would be helpful if an official sign could be put up in these places warning of imminent closure if you do NOT pick up. Maybe it would help, maybe it wouldn't and it would just get shot up, but maybe some just don't realize it's not a free for all out there and a nice scary sign might help.

That's a great idea! Calguns or various FFLs/vendors can "sponsor" a sign. It could be similar to the Cal Trans "Adopt a Highway" litter pick up program.
