    Yikes.

If any member of the Bullseye staff behaved this way towards a customer their career would be cut very short

For the record, we allow double taps/controlled pairs, rapid fire, etc. as long as you are hitting the target and not our gear. If we hear rapid fire one of us will come out and observe to ensure you are not wild, if you are hitting the target then all is good.

We believe in the train as you fight, fight as you trained mentality. One shot every 3 seconds as training won't help you very much if you have to use your weapon in a defensive situation.

If you would like to practice holster work, ask for the range master when you come in and he will observe your form. If you are safely performing the draw and fire, then good to go.

The comments weren't proper but I've seen worse.

Don't fault the guy for not knowing the difference between a TLE and a TLE II since it's a trick question. There never was nor is there any such thing as a TLE. They are all II's, including the original ones issued to LAPD SWAT. The TLE didn't come out until two years after Kimber had switched to the Series II. The II designates the firing pin safety.

It wasn't until the Warrior (not the one for Calif.) that Kimber re-introduced a non Series II gun in their production line again.

If they don't know you, they will usually treat you like crap. Not the best customer service model. Only a few are knowledgeable there. I once asked a salesman what the difference was between a few 1911s. He said, oh they're all the same, they just look different. I just said, 'uh..yeahh..." and walked away to talk to another salesman.

My last experience wasn't good there and I haven't been back for a while.

I haven't been to TM for awhile. They've undergone staff changes it seems.

There is one cool dude - hope he's still there - Paul, who's a SASS cowboy shooter. He's very knowledgeable/sensible, good folk like that are hard to find.

I've heard Target Masters is known as Ghetto Masters.....

I would have put the gun down and asked him to show me how to shoot.

I liked Paul, a lot. Even addresses me by rank, nice touch . Nancy's good. Also met an older black chap working there one night recently who was new to me, very friendly character, seemed quite competent.

Sadly, I have not seen Paul in a while. Don't know if he's moved on, or if I just haven't swung by at the right day at the right time of late.

Damned if I know why I've not heard of Bullseye before. (Probably because I live at the other end of the Bay, though). You got lads up there named Jared Masher or Antonio Cueva up there? Or am I thinking of somewhere else?

Neither of them work at Bullseye anymore. We are a vendor here. check out our vendor forum and browse through the customer feedback thread...hope to see you up here soon.

Ah well. I work with them on the military side, I recall them saying they did some work for a gunstore up your neck of the woods. Good lads.

                          Love their Happy Hour

$5 to shoot after 13:00 M-F, makes for a great late lunch during the work day. My practices are pretty basic, so 1 shot/3 seconds is fine. For faster practice, I have the MNSL.

Yes, both Paul and Nancy are great there, but the only two people worth talking to IMO. Paul is usually there later in the day as far as I know. I usually go there on Wed nights, and I see him there after about 7 or 8. Real nice guy, very knowledgeable, and is a great shot. He's been there as long as I can remember, whenever I get a cool gun in there, he's the first I let try...

yeah..target masters has horrible service...and rude too..has no knowledge..I won a Russian SKS with a 10rd fixed magazine on gunbroker, and they refused to help with the transferring..saying that it's an assault rifle, and how they don't deal with "illegal firearms"...Anyone know of other gun ranges around the bay area?

Without hesitation, I'd do the transfer at Irvington Arms. They have been great in every way possible. Their customer service is top notch, they have the best prices around for damn near everything, and are quick and painless with the paperwork. The only complaint I have with them is I always end up spending more money then initially planned. Be prepared for the possibility of walking out with two guns and extra goodies after your 10 day.
