NEVER had a problem there. In fact - they let me shoot from the holster, and do failure drills (double taps).

Why do they let you do this? They are pretty strict on everyone else.

            .
I shoot there with 2 buddies that get to do the same thing, but only in the first bay.

Why? - Maybe because I was one of the owners of HALO Group.

Range is ok, there is something wrong in the head with every employee there.

There hasnt been a time I went to TM where there wasnt something odd that happened between me an one of their employees. Went there once and asked if they had any Buffalo Bore ammo, the guy looked at me and said we've never heard of this "Buffalo Bore" you speak of..is it some kind of gimmick ammo. Another time I was there I asked if they sell any .45 super ammo.. the guy breaks into this debate about how there's no such thing as .45 super, and that its all just a .45 acp. I pulled a round out of my bag and showed him the .45 super stamp on the back. Been to TM many times with pistols only and had no idea they had a rifle range thats a bit hidden from eye view. Anyway went in there with an AR and told the guy I was shooting .223 ammo, I checked in and he saw me walk into the range ive only ever used. The moment I began shooting this guy comes in and totally goes bananas yelling at me. My point is there's really something wrong with these employees at the Garland TM, their all very rude and dont seem to know **** about firearms. I will check into another range and spread the word about these people.

Even funnier is the fact that he joined to make a post about the Targetmasters in GARLAND, TEXAS!

That said, I believe I've shot there - rented a UZI carbine about 15+ years ago. They were pretty nice to me...

i went into target masters one time (3 years ago) to shop for a pistol. that was the last time i went in there. since then i always hear bad things about them. i have friends that moved close to target masters about 4 months ago and they keep asking to go with them to shoot there and i always mention we should go to reeds. reeds has the same 1 shot per 3 sec rules iirc but i always shoot alittle faster then that and they never say anything to me other other than "you need more targets". plus i like their staff. (for the most part lol)

It is sad to hear such things about Target Masters, that was the range where my wife learn how to use a pistol.

Haven't been there for a while now, when we first showed up, I wasn't familiar with how indoor range works and I was polite and up front about it. I offered to pay for someone to show us, I guess that puts me and wife on better footing with them. They simply said no problem we'll show you for free, pretty nice people I recalled. Rented a bunch of guns and bought a bunch of ammo (you have to use their ammo if you rent their guns) and targets. Wife and I enjoyed it.
