Target Masters - -worst shop/range evAR? First experience.

I would say so, yesterday me and my friend went in because he wanted to buy a 1911. We started looking at a few of the kimbers and asked someone to help us and possibly explain the difference between the TLE and the TLE II. Of course he knew nothing about the difference, and was very unhelpful and unknowledgable. Fast forward to later that night, we go back there because my friend had to grab some papers from his house to buy the TLE II (only to have them tell him that the papers THEY told him to bring wouldn't work) and I had brought my 1911, my 9mm, and a USP to shoot at the range. So I start shooting and im loving how my 1911 shoots with the new trigger job, then I turn around and some guy is standing there and starts to yell at me "I SAID 1 SHOT PER 3 SECONDS DIDNT I?!" "ILL KICK YOU OUT IF YOU DO THAT **** AGAIN" I say yes and apologize that I was shooting slightly fast, (maybe a shot per 1.5 seconds all grouped decently), I begin to turn back to continue shooting and he then yells at me "AND YOU CANT SHOOT FOR **** ANYWAY" I laugh at him, and just brush it off. He has some balls to be insulting someone with a loaded gun in their hands, and true question is, why would you treat customers that way? To personally insult them for an honest mistake? The guys next to me were firing way faster than I was and he just seemed to over look them, and they definately werent LEO's. Target masters is a horrible shop and range, I will encourage my friend to purchase the gun somewhere else, and tell everyone I know to stay far far away from that shop, they will never get any more of my business or any of my friends or familys business. Just had to share my story with calguns.

thats the only time i've been there, and to treat a customer in such a way shows to me that they dont give two ****s about repeat business or new customers.

If you're looking for another Kimber dealer with Master Dealer pricing, please check out Irvington Arms in Fremont. The guys there will be able to answer all the questions you had at TargetMasters and then some.

My general consensus is F target masters.

They seem too happy to yell at anyone, and talk down to their customers.

What exactly do you mean by that? Because someone insults you, you should shoot them? Maybe you gave off a vibe like this one here....

I am not saying that I would shoot anyone, but what I AM saying is that I personally would never insult someone holding a loaded weapon, shoot i wouldn't insult someone holding a baseball bat or a knife. I try to avoid all confrontation as such. But past that, insults are never necessary.

I'm not trying to be a jerk here, I agree with you that there is no need for insults.

Im trying to convince him to goto bullseye, If IA was open today I'd take him there, but he wants his gun now, today, but hopefully they'll tell him he has the wrong paper once again, and I can show him to a nice respectful shop with good customer service.

We're talking Milpitas, right? I've always had a very pleasant experience shooting there. The staff I used to know have turned over, but I still routinely visit. I take the bizarre rules (such as no rapid fire) as pretty much par for the course on an indoor range in the Bay Area.

I understand the rules, and there is quite a difference between rapid fire versus slightly fast shooting, I just dont see the need to be insulted or singled out. Its spilt milk any who, but I just cannot reccomend that place to anyone.
