Our government is no different. Just look at the legislation pushing through california and the nation right now as we speak. There are better ways to stand up and fight for what you believe in, many of which are facilitated by this forum.

If your gonna stomp around and accuse people of HATING FREEDOM and HATING 2a, then close the stupid Adam Kokesh tantrum videos and participate like a civilized 21st century American.
How are those "better ways to stand up and fight for what you believe in..." working out for you and California.

My money says you just might be in favor of "reasonable" gun control, maybe.

You might try explaining to your kids the reasons the 2nd Amendment is a part of our history.

Both posts indicate exactly how and why California is where it is in regard to weapons laws, and how it will worsen.

    Congratulations.

eta...The attitude presented in these posts is exactly part of why California has turned into the third-world cesspool it is now.

WHY is an armed person minding his own business automatically an imminent danger to those around him? WHY does it always result in a call to the police, who invariably find the person is not a criminal?

Simple...it's the complete brainwashing of the morons who make the calls that weapons are inherently evil...you just don't see this in places where weapons are accepted and the citizens are bright enough to understand having a weapon doesn't make you a criminal.

Civil disobedience is what caused African-Americans a major advancement in equality in the 1960's. If more Californians had that mindset, I'd submit you wouldn't be buried under the gun laws you have now.

True wealth is time. Time to enjoy life.

Life's journey is not to arrive safely in a well preserved body, but rather to slide in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "holy schit...what a ride"!!

Heaven goes by favor. If it went by merit, you would stay out and your dog would go in. Mark Twain

It will keep happening as long as we let it. It is not different from anything else you encounter in life. If you don't fight back, then you might as well be helping them.

        Fat woman calls police.

Police tell her that he is not doing anything wrong, and if he starts to threaten people, she should call them back.

Fat woman talks to neighbors about this supposed "outrage", neighbors say "He's a harmless geek who likes to carry a rifle and pretend he's keeping us safe while he picks up trash that someone's kids have left in the street, we're okay with that."

Fat woman calls local TV station, in hopes that she will find someone sympathetic to her viewpoint.

TV station comes out, interviews fat woman, can't find any other neighbors who are concerned, produces and airs moderately anti-gun story in hopes of reaching hoplophobes who will freak out.

Hoplophobe sees story in internet, starts thread on CGN (supposedly pro-2A site) and gets comments supporting his anti-2A position.

And that, in a nutshell, is why we can't have nice things.
so, are you saying this lady was a "fat woman"...not sure if that's what you mean

btw, your evaluation is spot on

Sorry, had been a while since I watched the video, and she went from stout to fat in my mind (got her mixed up with another woman complaining about stuff in a different video I recently watched). Plus, since we are calling him the geek and the nerd, I thought we should also use a less than polite term for his nemesis. My bad.

quoted from the vid: "I think the rifle is what scares everybody...because why do you need a rifle to pick up trash? Get a trash bag."

There's no mention the guy has any training whatsoever. All they say is that he's from a military family. If that's the case, why doesn't he just join the military or police force?
I take it you also believe that people who have a CCW are mental. You should turn in your guns at the next buy back and ask a mod to ban your account.

I'd like to see you try explaining that same misguided logic to the population in a constitutional carry state(without getting run out of town being chased by everyone with torches and pitchforks for sounding like a stereotypical anti 2a liberal from CA that can't understand "shall not be infringed").
I don't think he understands the meaning of the word" bear" as used in the Second Amendment.

The kid was carrying a C&R and AR mags. Who, again, is scared of him? I bet the kids aren't even really afraid of him. I bet it's the mother speaking for the children based on her own views of firearms.

So someone was carrying an unloaded firearm while picking up trash in his neighborhood, and someone is afraid of him? How the hell is this national news? Why the hell are we even giving this article the time of day? Do these questions even matter? Tune in next week for the exciting conclusion. Next, we'll take you deep inside gun country, where ordinary, law abiding citizens are being targeted as criminals without actually breaking any laws. How is this possible? We'll show you after a quick word from our sponsors.
