I've shot both a G35 and a G19, disliked them both. Don't like the huge square grip, very uncomfortable, didn't like the trigger, and not much a fan of polymer. I much prefer the more ergonomic and balanced all-metal guns. And yes the Glocks are ugly. :X Although, I have to admit...they are a lot easier to take down than my CZs.

125k thats it?! Dont know if you can trust a gun that fails at 125k rounds. See what happens when you shoot so much.Everyone knows that if you would have bought a $2k 1911 and shoot 1k rounds a year it'll last forever!

Why do the fanboys always say that everyone should heart Glock?

I don't need to own one to know that I hate the ergonomics on them, along with the XD line. Neither type feels good or right in my hand, and yes I've fired both. That doesn't make the guns any better or worse, just makes them not right for me.
It was not a threat. It was an exaggerated response to an uncompromising stance. I was taught never to make a threat unless you are prepared to carry it out and I am not a fan of carrying anything. Even watching other people carrying things makes me uncomfortable. Mainly because of the possibility they may ask me to help.

People make a choice, invest their hard earned money into their choice, and then it makes them feel better about themselves if they bad mouth all other options other than the one they chose.

              Also, its fun.

I have no problem with Glocks. Just some of the Glock owners are annoying.

Did you ever try to teach a male over 18 to shoot? There's an inherent macho, know it all attitude that many males have about firearms. This extends to people opining that certain firearms are better, or worse, than others.

As others have already pointed out, there's also a human nature, Ford vs Chevy, I spent money on X so Y must suck attitude.

I myself didn't like Glocks enough to ever buy one. I have Colts, Smiths, Sig, Para, a decent variety, and didn't see the need to add Glock to my collection.

Then I won one in a fundraiser, and picked a G27 simply because I didn't have a .40. I then made myself shoot it exclusively in IDPA for a year. 1000 rounds through a bone stock G27, never a hiccup. Always goes bang, very easy for me to shoot well. Small enough for CCW.

It's not my favorite, certainly not the best looking, but I would not hesitate to carry it for personal protection.

Plus it only cost me $5.00.

Both of my G17s have around 80,000 rounds each, and cracked 3 slides between them at around 40,000 to 60,000 rounds. This doesn't count the little things like the broken trigger reset spring, replacing striker and recoil springs, broke the leaf spring that holds the slide release, one chipped extractor. Glock gave me all new stuff, but now I can't trust them anymore. Sold the crappy G21 to a shooting buddy who put another 125,000 rounds thru it. But I need to run the G17s to at least 150,000 to be absolutely positive they are junk.

Actually I have been thinking about getting one... I guess you can't go wrong with the $500 Saturday-night-special of 2013, as they are referenced under the same title in Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saturday_night_special.

I will probably never buy a 1911 or revolver. Neither of those platforms interest me in the least bit. I'd take one for free or at better than bargain pricing but thats about it.

I only had 9mm Glocks until I traded my 26 (straight across too!) for a Shield and that sparked my interest in M&P's. I've bought 3 more Glocks (17,23,30S) since getting my Shield but still keeping my eyes open for an M&P45C.
