Guns is something that you need to keep to yourself. You don't know how other people will take to it, and ultimately you don't want to become a target for thievery or other forms of crime.
On that note, I nuked my Facebook, Twitter and all that stuff a long time ago; I don't want everyone knowing what I'm up to every second of the day. As far as I'm concerned, the only people that need to know what I'm up to are the people I'm doing that particular activity with. For people that are vain and have that need to announce to the world what they're doing all of the time, I guess it's fine, but privacy, like space, is something you can never have enough of, IMO.
Keep your guns a personal secret, guys. I've been here like a month and I've lost track of how many threads talking about how their house was broken into and their guns stolen. To me, losing my guns that way is akin to getting my dick chopped off...
I don't always save the world, but when I do, it's in 24 hours or less...Comment

Someone clicked like and made a funny comment
His image then showed up in an ad for KY.
FB sold his like to KY and KY used his profile pic in an ad....

I post pics on Facebook, on CGN, and I even make Youtube videos!
Most of my friends on FB shoot, and if they don't shoot then they're likely family. Either way it's a great way to keep in touch with people who live outside of that 30 minute zone.

i use so many guns for hunting that are my friends and vice versa, half the hunting pictures on my profile are not even my guns and a couple of the guns are in TX. so i dont care. if they dont like the dead animals, then they havent been on my friends list in a loooooong timeComment

I did an interview with famed hacker Kevin Mitnick for a big Fox film. During the interview, he had his laptop. He asked for my legal name. Within three minutes he was able to pull up my current home address, every address I have ever lived at for my entire 49 years, the hospital I was born in, my SS#, all of my credit card numbers and a lot of other stuff, schools I graduated from, you name it. And then he told me that this was not sophisticated hacking at all, this was stuff that millions of people can easily do, if they know the right websites and utilities to use.
There is no such thing as privacy for anyone anymore, unless they have never been on-line and even then, there is a surprising amount of stuff out there. That doesn't include public and private organizations which store your data for commercial or government use. The city clerk, the local police, the utilities company secretary, even the cell phone company sales rep has access to your name , address, SS and all the goods through their internal systems. If someone wants to get customer data they need not risk hacking or an internet utility, they'll just get a job at Best Buy.
I worked a retail job years ago which had access to credit applications and stored customer data, and more than a few people got fired for stealing client data right out of the corporate computer system for fake ID's, credit cards, and other forms of fraud.The more prohibitions you have, the less virtuous people will be.
