Regardless, I hope they reconsider the individual membership prices. I'd love to never have to leave Roseville to shoot.

I'm with you guys on that. I'm smack dab in the middle between both new locations. Life is good.

missused analogy, the price difference between sizzler vs morton is dictated by "quality of product and service"

unless someone at the roseville range load my mags, sweep my brass, and bring me bottomless drinks, i dont think they can justify such fees. they also need to accomodate holster shooting also for the ccw'ers

I really love the fact more gun stores and ranges are opening up. It brings more people over to the dark side. lol

That said, a $1,000 joining fee will probably keep me at my normal spot in the hills for a while. With gas going up and down, the $1k would probably pay for itself in less than a year. But still, that's a lot of coin.

In the first year it's going to cost you $2200.00 just to be a member. Plus all the expenses of shooting itself. F-that. I could drive to TGR, or Sac Valley once a week for a year and spend less, including gas money to get there.

Dressing up a shooting range and charging outrageous fees is a pretty crazy business model in today's economy. I HIGHLY doubt all their individual memberships (which isn't even a tangible product) are sold out. They just want to push family memberships and charge more.

I wondeR what nonmember lane prices will be at CGC... That's where they will make up the inflated member prices.

                Can't wait for TGR!!

I'd rather spend 20 bucks on gas and 14 range fee for Sac Valley, no way in hell I'm spending more then that per trip.

$34 range trips would be awesome, but I spend more than that just on ammo.

Getting back to The Gun Range (the one just off Watt in North Highlands), has anyone heard an update on when it is expected to open (or if it is already open)? Also, is there any information on fees?

That's why it's a club. Only a few will join. Same as a health club or a private golf course. There are benefits to having it this way, just not for most shooters. . . . .It will probably be a very nice facility.. . . . . .for those that can afford it.
