Punisher emblems on firearms?

Does anyone actually carry around a LTC gun or even a UOC gun with such things on it? Is this really even an issue?
So what is worse? The types of people who sit around and fantasize about being the Punisher (supposedly) or the types who sit around and fantasize about getting into a self defense shooting with a black powder musket in order to minimize the potential of getting sued and/or looking bad to a jury?
If all I have is a Punisher pistol to defend my life with, that is what I will use. I honestly don't care. I am certainly not going to waste any of my time worrying about it nor trying to dictate my life to the concerns of soccer moms.
Seriously some of you worry about too much. It is a wonder you even step outside your own homes for fear of the gun hating jury.
I would suggest if you are worried about gettin sued and losing, then you might not want to shoot. Take cover, call the police, and be a good witness.
It seems pretty easy to me. The guy had a gun, he just shot the clerk at McDonalds, I was in fear for my life, and I shot him with my Punisher AR15 pistol to stop his actions.
LOL. The horror! The horror!
Whether you care or whether you worry is irrelevant. I never said anything about black powder muskets or any other such drivel. Modern, self defense oriented firearms with aftermarket grips, lights, HD ammo, etc. can be competently justified and explained in court.
I carry a firearm for a living so this is not some abstract idea that came up during a beer and BBQ mall ninja get together. Good tactics and good legal standing to shoot are a great foundation to base your defense after a shooting, but to stand there with arms folded thinking that's all you have to worry about is very pie in the sky. The "soccer mom" in the jury box may hold the key to your freedom.
Laying low and being a good witness is a very good idea if you are an uninvolved 3rd party in a public place. For the purpose of this discussion I was thinking more along the lines of a home defense type situation where an armed confrontation is unavoidable.
If "all you have" is a Punisher adorned firearm, I'm sorry.
If you find yourself inside a McDonald's with a Punisher adorned AR-15 pistol under any circumstances, well I don't even know how to respond to that. That concealed AR Pistol and shoulder bag set up makes for a great you tube video but has ZERO practical use otherwise. I'm sure folks everywhere are buying them to impress wives and girlfriends with their tactical prowess.Last edited by Bobby Ricigliano; 09-13-2011, 11:31 AM.Comment

The odds against actually using your gun in self defense and killing another person is so astronomical that it isn't even worth worrying about. If you want to customize your gun go ahead. You have a MUCH better chance of being attacked by a shark than using your gun in self defense. Worry more about what you wear to the beach than what your gun looks like.Comment

Well those firearms are all gorgeous, no doubt. Everyone has the right to dress up their firearms however they like.Comment

Yeah, but that looks like a drug cartel, so you might get in trouble for being one. LOL!
All you gotta say is:Imagine a non-gun enthusiast jury looking at your all black ninja pistol with the Punisher grips and Punisher magazine floor plates and how easy it would be for them to form the opinion that you were just itchin' to dish out some Punisher type vigilante justice to some bad guy. DUMB.

You're not going to get yourself in front of a Jury because during your "good shoot" your gun had a punisher skull on it. I wouldn't sweat it.
How you behaved before, during, and after the shoot is going to be far far more important than any emblem on the gun.Last edited by stix213; 09-13-2011, 1:06 PM.Comment

If that is the case, this thread is even more pointless than it was when it started. So you are telling me that a jury is going to think you wanted a guy to break into your home and you wanted to kill the guy because you used a firearm that had the Punisher skull on it as your home defense weapon?
Need I remind you that the bad guy broke into your house and came after you? Use a weed wacker if you need to, just stop his actions because he is in your home. No one is going to accuse you of being the Punisher unless you start talking without a lawyer present and make stupid statements.
The only way you are going to be questioned on your use of a home defense weapon is if it is illegal or if you have booby traps set up. Other than that, it is your home, it is your property and you can lawfully do what you want with it. When evil comes to you, how can anyone possibly think you are going to be questioned for defending your life and the lives of your loved ones. Talk about some FUD.
Typical elitist attitude. Somehow people who like the Punisher are below you and clearly they don't know anything about shooting or anything else.
If the only firearm you have has a Punisher on it, good for you. At least you are a gun owner and at least I can count on you to help defend our freedom.
That is right, bring a pistol to a gun fight. Brilliant idea. If you have a CCW you could just as easily have your normal carry piece under your shirt for immediate deployment and have a 7" AR pistol in your backpack for more serious situations. All of these are just tools in your toolbox. If you find yourself inside a McDonald's with a Punisher adorned AR-15 pistol under any circumstances, well I don't even know how to respond to that. That concealed AR Pistol and shoulder bag set up makes for a great you tube video but has ZERO practical use otherwise. I'm sure folks everywhere are buying them to impress wives and girlfriends with their tactical prowess.
Clearly some tools are better for some jobs than others. However saying that a guy that has a sledgehammer has issues because you like to carry a regular hammer is pretty foolish. Your hammer isn't going to do you any good for knocking a hole in a brick wall, but you can sure try. At the same time my big sledgehammer isn't going to be very good for driving nails into a 2x4. Different tools for different jobs. The only downside is not having the right tool for the right job. So keep your toolbox ready for anything.
And that is what cracks me up about these threads. Who cares what people like to do as long as they aren't infringing upon the rights of others? What do I care what you like to carry or not carry? Either what you do is legit or not. Your liberty is what this country was founded on. I respect that so I don't care what you have for self defense, I would just prefer it be a firearm because I want you to win!Last edited by tenpercentfirearms; 09-13-2011, 2:26 PM.www.tenpercentfirearms.com was open from 2005 until 2018.
