      Now that is cool.

Well,, that or just sick of some of the bone heads that go to the range. I've patterned the decent times pretty well to avoid the mess.

Yep, we're spoiled being able to use SLOSA. It's less than 10 mins from my house. I wish it was open later on more days, not just Thursdays.

So you are saying in an indoor range, with dividing partitions....somebody walked into your lane...grabbed 2 handguns...walked a few lanes away and proceeded to fire your weapons ? With what ammunition ?

Oh dear god that is so far over the line , thats akin to someone taking your wife a few lanes over and seeing/feeling whats up her dress.

For those of us more inclined, a swift physical reaction ( And I do mean reaction, there would have been no time for thinking it out ) would have been mandatory. I cant even begin to tell you how I would have punished that POS.

Even if you are the more passive type, and thats ok for some...I am not talking down to you whatsoever...but that should have required an immediate RO intervention and toss at the LEAST....more in line with an arrest.

Of all things I have read on this forum, I cant believe I actually read that ...seriously.

I love barstow i have a decent spot out there not to far out so a normal car could make it just have to stay on the dirt road. I dont even know how many flat tires i have come home with. Even with my kevlar reinforced sidewalls in my tires something still seems to get throught them. But when i cant afford it because the truck gets 12 MPG and the 2 hour drive i stick around my area and stay at the local ranges. MONEY TIME CONVIENCE deciding factors for me

Did this happen at Brea Indoor?!?!? We shoot there pretty regularly and have never had anything remotely like that happen. Wow. I would have made sure that staff heard about this.

See this thread for info on a location near Barstow where people here shoot pretty regularly: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=419683. Get out there quick before the heat becomes totally unbearable!

I have only been to a few public ranges and I had a good experience .It is fun talking to other people with the same interest and talking about there guns etc.
It does get boring shooting by ones self .

Nice racks are much better. You can grab both sides of the rack to help stabilize while mounting.

that is seriously one of the craziest things i have ever heard!! i usually go to the lions club range up here. the ro's are great and its only 6 bucks all day and theres usually not too many people there.

I can handle outdoor ranges pretty well. Renting a range for private use is all good though, was able to shoot on one this last weekend, wasn't disturbed once.

I live about 10 min away from BLM land, i could ride my bike (if guns/accessories werent so big and heavy)

needless to say I dont do ranges. I think I've been to a range 3 times... I know there is one around here (hemet) but I dont think I'll ever go

I also hate ranges. I haven't found a good open shooting spot near Sacramento though. I think the closest one is either in Oroville or El Dorado NF, both of which are like 2 hours away. So I just go to Yolo Sportsmen Club, which is a super fine range actually.
