    Shot Show 2008

I just booked our hotels and registered for the Shot Show 2008 in Las Vegas. It cost the company $1200 for two rooms for four nights! Ouch. I only registered 4 of us since we can't take the kids in with us, but six of us are going.

This is going to be quite the expensive weekend, but that is why we work so hard in the shop. We have to enjoy it sometime.

So who else is going to go? Don't wait too much longer for hotels. They are going quick and they are not cheap!

+1 on that except no FFL.

Same here! How can I get in?
If you're not a resident of California, please don't waste your time trying to sell handguns here. A: your handgun is not on the approved list, and can't be sold here or B: We can already get it here with less hassle.

Thank you CGF and Leadership FFLs for NeRFing the roster!

I'm with the others asking about getting in.

What if we were hired as unpaid "contract" employees by 10%, paid our own way and went on our own but officially as part of another company?

You love your customers that much, right?

Does a C&R qualify? I believe at one time it did

Contacted shot show customer service, C&R is GTG for attendance

C&R most certainly works. That is how I went to my first one back in 2002. So if you haven't applied for a C&R yet, now is the time.

They go over the rules there and you might find a way in.

It would be nice to go just for the experience I suppose. I myself have never atteneded a show of that magnitude (do have my C&R)... I think im scared

Since you have to be in the "industry", Im gussing there are no +1's; guests

Given that the geniuses who are in charge of the SHOT Show scheduled it during Super Bowl weekend, I paid for my dad's airline flight and our hotel room last week. The combined three-night hotel (a mere two blocks from the show) and airfare was less than $500. I will book my flight, which is less problematic, later this year. I also paid for my dad's admission, and I already have my Press Pass. We're set...

Yes, Las Vegas is going to be hectic that weekend. There's going to be a lot of people acting stupid (like during last season's NBA All-Star weekend).

I was approved for a Media Pass so I'm getting in for free (and can take still photos). I could have used my C&R or NRA Instructor Credentials for a standard pass.
