Damn I want to go so bad. Going there Oct 30 - Nov. 3rd for the SEMA show. Then probably back there in Jan for the CES show.

It doesn't look like I can get into this one. Anyone want to sign me up under their company?

You can place order at SHOT show, but most likely not much. Some get the guns ordered, but no ammo.

Damn you Jim. Why didn't you remind me of that. I would have rather given you store credit than pay Circus Circus $1200. You know I would paid for your ticket if you wanted to go too.

You get all sorts of free swag, but unless you are a FFL and/or have lots of money, they don't sell one or two items and you most certainly aren't going to be able to buy the stuff and walk out with it.

Now with OLLs, it isn't as bad going. When I went in 2002 it sucked because everything I saw and liked was illegal in CA. Now, we can at least get the stuff in neutered versions.

                  CircusCircus......what a toilet.
Try one of the other off strip joints.....you'll definitely get clean sheets.

Oh and stay away from the Circus Circus BARFett.

Circus Circus is actually pretty clean as far as the hotel is concerned. It's been pretty decent since at least 2000.

The only reason people don't like CC is mainly because it's far North on the strip closer to Fremont street. But CC is closer to the convention center than most of the other strip casinos, so that's a plus.

Everyone that goes to the SHOT show should take along a bunch of documents and simple flyers showing that OLL and magazine parts are LEGAL in California. Because I bet the DOJ has spread a bunch of FUD and threats to out of state suppliers. Do your part for the cause.

Everyone in the industry knows about it. They knew about it when we explained it to them in 2006. The vast majority of them just choose not to do anything about it other than sell the lowers to out of state dealers and have them ship them in. Basically the lawyers won't let anyone do anything about it.

Well that's pretty sad comment about the shooting industries support of the Second Amendment. Although some manufactures do ship direct. The good guys.

It would be nice to make a pamphlet to try and attract more gun companies to California. They may be aware of the situation here, but think it isn't worth the effort. We should point out the benefits of developing California compliant models. Some thoughts are:

                              1. California is the #1 gun market in the world.
                              2. Companies like Kel-Tec and their SU-16CA have been very successful in California.
                              3. Designs and methods of modification are already available.
                              4. FFLs are eager to bring these new products to California.
                              5. By helping preserve the RKBA in California, you're helping prevent another Federal Ban.
                              6. Californians are eager to purchase all kinds of firearms.
                              7. Designs and models which are legal in California are frequently legal in other states with bans.
                              8. Sporter rifle styles such as Saigas and Mini-14s are also popular in states without bans.
                              9. There is an entire new demographical generation of gun buyers in California.
                              10. California has no jurisdiction to go after out of state manufacturers.

                                It was Horrible back then.
