    Goddamn You, UPS!!!!!!!

So I was supposed to receive 600 rounds of Blazer .45 on my doorstep from my friendly UPS driver. Instead I got a call tonight from my mom at home (I'm at school) saying there was one box of 50 in there and the box looked re-taped... I am livid... Beyond livid... I have emailed LuckyGunner and am waiting to receive a response from them on how to handle this situation. I know the box was supposed to have stickers saying it was ammunition, but I was told that the box was covered in "Centerfire Ammunition, .45 Auto" and "__1_2__ Boxes, __5_0__Rounds/Box." I am a college student on a shoestring budget and found a good deal on ammo, which is nothing special, and was hoping to have that for weekends now that my schedule is starting to free up. I got a bad case of the Mondays instead...

CalGunners: Have you ever had a shipper steal your ammo? What did you do?

    TL;DR: F**k UPS...

    That sucks.

I've had ups leave a gun under a tree (while the delivery confirmation stated "delivered to front door" and throw my packages into my neighbors yard but all my stuffs always been in the box. I'm anxious to know what the vendor has to say. Good luck!

It's possible that was done by someone sniping it off your doorstep, but one would think they would just take the whole thing. I've had stuff opened and left on my doorstep.

I am too. I figured that I had to sign for it, get the tag off of my door, go to the hub, and then get it there. Instead some ingrate decided to steal 550 rounds of ammo from me... Thanks. LuckyGunner has been great in their communications so I hope their customer service/communication doesn't dry up now that there is an issue. I'm mad it's now almost 10PM and I have to wait until the morning to hear...

              I had that happen before.

I received less than half my ammo order from a popular online vendor. The box was smashed and retaped. I called the vendor and the women on the phone said no problem and I got my full shipment in a few days.

I did have to save the box for UPS but other than that, it was pretty simple.

                Re: Goddamn You, UPS!!!!!!!

I doubt UPS stole the ammo, the box probably got busted open in transit and some of the contents were lost. The vendor you purchased it from will make a claim with UPS for the loss and should send you what was missing in the shipment. You don't need to deal with UPS, the seller does, so this is when you find out if your supplier is worth a damn. A decent shop will take care of it promptly.

Is this sort of thing too common that making a thread about it would get locked? Or that I'm pissed and raging on an Internet forum? If it's the latter, I realize it now...

It was resealed with packing tape and cut clean down the middle, box wasn't even roughed up. Seemed too well done for a snatch'n'grab from the porch.

Box wasn't roughed up or torn up. Normal scuffs and such.

Cool. I've heard good things about a fair number of vendors and LG was highly-recommended for their Customer Service. I just hope everything turns out well...

I have rec'd empty boxes, packages that were more tape than box. Fortunately none were ammo shipments.

Well, good news. One of the LG reps emailed me just now and said they would handle everything. It's a relief, but now I hope my replacement ammo doesn't get stolen. Does anyone know what is done in trying, if anything, to track it down?

I have been doing internal loss prevention and security consulting for many years. Not to get you off track and I am sure the vendor will make it all right. But I will shed some light on your carrier. There internal theft issues are among the worst of the big three. Ask What Brown Can Do For You and then look at your empty box and you have the best answer to there slogan. Would you be inclined to let us in on what vendor you went through as I am checking/shopping on-line ammo deals as well. Thanks and good luck!

Never had anything stolen by UPS, but it did break one of the rifles shipped to me. In half, I kid you not.

I work in the shipping buisness to say that you doubt UPS stole some of the product is naive, its always possible, and you could never pin it on the last driver who delivered it, it might of been in that condition once it left the final depo for transit to you.

All freight gets cross docked from one trailer to another and depending were its origin was it could have seen its way on many trailers before the final one to your home.

The poduct could of gotten seperated in this process and lost or someone down the line also like guns, not everyone in shipping is honest.

I dont see someone hiding in the bushes waiting its arrival to your home and leaving you with a token amount.
