Last night was the first time I didn't want either contestant to get booted. Great challenge...bothshooters brought their A game. Sad to see Kyle leave.

Last night was the first time I thought the challenges were exceptionally hard. The simultainious two revolver DAO at separate targets has to be the hardest thing I've seen on the show.01001001 00100000 01110111 01101001 01101100 01101100 00100000 01001110 01001111 00100000 01001100 01001111 01001110 01000111 01000101 01010010 00100000 01100011 01101111 01101101 01110000 01101100 01111001Comment

I tried shooting 2 guns akimbo once. When Sunnyvale still had steel targets at the 25 yards line on the pistol side, I had my CZ 75 in my right hand and my friend's Beretta 92FS in my left hand. Shooting SA on both guns, I couldn't hit 2 targets simultaneously. Most of the time I could only hit with the dominate hand, like the contestants last night.
Very hard.Comment

Actually I felt that there is very little drama in this season as there was in the first season, especially with that whole "rat fink" episode which really turned me off from the first season until the last few episodes. Perhaps the producers got the reaction was pretty negative about that drama in the first season that the "drama" in the second season, while there is a bit of it, is primarily focused upon who's going to elimination based upon performance.Who else TiVo's this, and skips all the made up "drama"? I watched the first episode of season 1 and never watched the rest of the season. Drama (especially made up edited contrived drama) is draining to me. Can't stand it. I just started watching this season, skipping all the non-shooting parts. I liked the blow-gun segment, and the trick shot section. Tough shots for sure. Especially with the commentator off to the side reminding you of how much you suck any time you miss. I do enough of that in my own head, I don't need him reminding me of it.
Can't imagine the pressure the contestants feel put in that position.Comment

I always say that the only reason to shoot two guns at once is because you want to miss twice as fast.I tried shooting 2 guns akimbo once. Very hard.My friends and family disavow all knowledge of my existence, let alone my opinions.Comment

Yep - we were instructed that we had to shoot all the revolvers in Double Action Only.
With those .357 Ruger Security Sixes, I was able to ease the trigger back (with both hands) and get the action roll over, and set / hold the hammer back. Then I could line my sights up, and give the final little squeeze - firing both guns simultaneously.
Chris Reed and Jay used the same pair of Rugers than Kyle and I used. For some reason, Kyle and I had no problem firing simultaneously - but Jay and Chris just couldn't get it. But those shots were very very difficult. Much harder than it looks, I'll promise you THAT!~Jamie

I couldn't figure out why they picked Ashley over Jay though. Nothing against Jay, that was a hard shot, but Jay and Kyle were the two "zeros" for that challenge, which is the justification that's been used on all of the previous eliminations.
NOW suddenly they find religion and say "Well, Jay is probably the most flexible member of the team"
Duh
That also makes him a bigger threat when you're facing him in the final challenge

It seemed like Ashely had a hard time deciding who to vote for but he felt more confident going up against Kyle than facing some potential surprise with Jay.+1

I think you got that wrong, Kyle did hit one of his while Ashley and Jay were the 2 that got zeros. That is why Ashley said that he wanted to go to elimination.+1

I think all the douche-juice that guy puts in his hair is seeping through his skull and into his brain. Good thing they won the challenge, or George would have been going to elimination too, based on performance.
I usually fast-forward through the show, skipping everything except the actual shooting parts, so I don't remember all the guys' names (except for Kyle, George, and Jay for some reason), but the guy on the red team who shot all 3 of the corncob pipes with that tiny little DA revolver with hardly ANY sight radius -- THAT guy can shoot. Those were tough shots, and he nailed all three. Definitely the star of the most recent episode, imo.Comment

That was Joe. I wish they had shown Joe's shots in real time. He was like Rain Man! He took his time lining up his first shot - but then he nailed #'s 2 & 3 in like less than a second! I couldn't have made those shots that fast with that pistol if I had a dozen tries at it! Joe was AMAZING and saved Red Team's collective butt!~Jamie
