Top Shot 2 has 4 CA natives!

In many ways the show is a clone of the Ultimate Fighter. There are a lot of similar reality TV shows, but there are a lot of 1-for-1 comparisons from the team uniform color concept on down that seem like they were copied right out of the Ultimate Fighter playbook. All the behind the schemes drama falls right in line with that formula. It is there to keep our wives (not that I have one) from forcing us to change the channel.

Reality shows work since the producers don't have to pay real actors union scale. Since there's no real plot you also avoid having to hire a real screen writer.

The phony drama works just the same as it does with American Chopper/Jr. v. Sr., American Hot Rod, Ice Road Idiots Truckers, etc.

I'd rate Top Shot about equal to the rest; maybe a little better due to the shooting. Not a bad show to watch if you have trouble falling asleep.

I love the show because I think it puts a good light on the shooting sports. It was nice to see them using 1911s and .44 Mag revolvers. Love them big calibers!!!
