Here's what Ashley had to say about what happened last episode on his FB page. If what he says is true, then yeah, I really don't blame him at all for his reaction.

"I do have to assume people will not read other posts or threads, this is a learning experience for me. I will not shake hands with a person I do not respect or that I know is a liar. I called Jamie out on some of his missions in Iraq (which they do not show) and he still will not answer them. He has said that he has confirmed kills in Iraq when he was attached to a certain group of guys whom I happen to know. Once this came out, I lost it. It is that simple. I posted the question to him on his page and he has deleted it, why? Another guy posted it on there and he deleted it, why? This is my problem I have with him as well of the rest of his team wanting him gone from week one due to his questionable stories all the time."

And although I don't claim to be an expert, it DOES smell a little funny that a Naval rescue swimmer would be attached to an EOD unit (as was talked about in the episode) or any other unit performing a combat role. Again, not sure on this, but I will ask some people who do know and report back with what I hear.

So can we all now agree that Ashley might actually be LESS of a "vinegary-fluid-filled rubber bag" than he was before?

Check the bio Jamie posted previously (http://community.history.com/topic/34444). Gives a better overview of what roles he's played during his service.

As for participation in combat, is the fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan limited just to combat MOS's? It's my understanding that it isn't.

Really? That would have been something I think Ashley would have included in his laundry list of insults. Instead the biggest one is that Jaime cliamed he was a SEAL, which even Chris and Brian came to Jaime's defense.

I know there is editing but it obvious that Ashley is a Weasel. I doubt that Jaime woud claim any kills if it was untrue. Ashley is just looking to save face because he came off looking like a douche, yes DOUCHE! At this point any one can claim something happened but was cut out in editing.

As for the Rescue Swimmer, It is not an MOS, but a Qualification or Skill like Airborne or Ranger. His true MOS is an Operations Specialist, that's not a gung ho MOS, which is prob why Ashley hates on him.

Not really. He might have other NEC's that he was billeted in on, or that unit might have a requirement for a rescue swimmer. The Navy can be a bit eccentric in how it builds up special units.

He is good for the show as far as producers and probably ratings are concerned. People are tuning in also to see what other 'quips he will say and drama that will play out in the group. Tv-land.

Anybody going to call them mall ninjas for all of the crap hanging on those rifles? Only kidding. They have my utmost respect.

I am surprised to see the beard. Can somebody that is currently serving explain? Is he active duty Air Force?
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

I'm not a fan of drama... I just think he is funny, kind of a dick but like... that's what makes him funny. He is a hell of a shot too, well... okay, not very versatile, but a good shot. I laughed when he said the FAL sucked though. Nobody could hit crap with that thing, I love em.

I've asked about this before and apparently specops people get to slide big time on a lot of regs like that, also I know Green Berets grow out beards and such to blend in over there, but those are all really long term deployments and that's kind of the point, kind of interested myself in the answer.
