My interactions with NBPD have been nothing short of professional and courteous. Of course I am a middle aged white guy and have never given them any reason to suspect me of doing anything to put them or the public in danger.

I say go for it. Call the Daily Pilot a day or so ahead and let them know so they can send a reporter and photographer. They love that kind of stuff.

Don't any of you realize that once UOC gets banned it's going to be harder to fight for LOC?

We might wind up with CCW only or a license required for LOC.

The problem with UOC is that it is only "not illegal". Carry rights have not been through the courts yet. UOC is not recognized as a right. It can be taken away and if it is it might take a trip to the Supreme Court of The United States to get it back (and we might not even win).

      Why risk that?

If we have to go back to SCOTUS, I want to fight for LOC, with UOC already protected.

My fear is that I may have to leave California if I ever want to LOC in an urban area. Don't make that a reality.

So don't practice a right, because we might lose the right?

        Does this make sense?

You are apparently under the mis-apprehension that the US Constitution actually means something. It does not in any practical sense.

The lawyers, politicians, LE and media have the system so screwed up now that the US Constitution only means something when THEY say it does.

Under those rules, your statement correctly stated is, "So don't practice a privilege, because we might lose the privilege?"

The Founding Fathers think "we" (collectively) are gutless AHs.

            We are.

So don't practice a privilege, so we can make it a right?
This would be a better question.

In California, are all weapons subject to the UOC laws and rules, or just handguns? That is, are shotguns and rifles governed under different provisions?

I think the rules are slightly different and rifles are by definition not concealable so you don't have to worry about them being partly concealed, etc.

That doesn't mean that it is a good idea to go out to the pier like Elmer Fudd with your blunderbuss slung over your shoulder.

How wonderful it must be. We pretend the U.S. Constitution means anything every day, but we suffer violation after violation for it, and to be compensated for the violations, our taxes get raised, so it's all a wash in the end!

Let me fill in the blank:

Proof that UOCers have, and will continue to be first targets for criminals: ____AB144_____________

First target? Give me a break. As if AB144 or the one last year were the first time criminals.CA.gov have ever infringed on the inherent human right to self-defense.

It is a decades-long tradition, and will not end as long as innocent people live.

The criminal anti-gun legislators gave us AB144...

Which was the FIRST TIME IN HISTORY that there has ever been a victim disarmament bill? OK, got it.

If you're going to tweak my quotes, be accurate. Otherwise you really do earn the moniker of "Everything Is UOC's Fault Guy."

UOC is the biggest preventable threat to gun rights at this time.

I don't like anything threatening our gun rights.
