Where ya been, most Libs are pretty nasty people as a rule. Simply watch and listen to the statements on MSNBC for example. Example #2 is drive around the Bay Area and see how many times you are either given the bird or some turd performs some selfish driving maneuver. Whats ironic is they believe conservative are nasty and selfish.

I don't see this at all. I work with and am friends with a bunch of liberals (my wife is a professor at a small private college, it comes with the territory). They're perfectly nice people, just as nice and wanting to do the right thing as my conservative coworkers and friends.

There are definitely extremists on both sides, people who refuse to discuss but who instead prefer yelling, and I would definitely call those individuals unpleasant. However, it's not too hard to figure out who these people are and the next time I see them, it's, "Nice to meet you!" and a quick excuse to leave the scene.

Most people, left, middle, and right, are decent people just trying to make their way in the world. Don't let the morons on either side act as a stand-in for the whole group. When you do that, you're blinding yourself to the possibility that you might learn something from others, or that you might teach them something (both of which are good things).

How Ironic.......The few Liberal's that I actually know personally, that own a gun or two, had their gun's either handed down to them by a family member or they were inherited by someone from the family who had passed away.
I've never noticed any talk about pecker size's or who gets laid or not......but every time I ask if they would like to join me for a day at the outdoor range....they always seem to have something else they need to do that day.
I expect it.

People who talk about small pecker sizes and never getting laid are usually the ones that have those issues and lack self esteem.

To all you liberals who are trying defend yourselves as "pro-gun", thats fine. I'll admit that laying a blanket over every liberal in the country and proclaiming them ALL as anti-gunners is obviously not accurate. However, as "enlightened" liberals, you should understand and acknowledge the concrete fact that the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of anti-gun sentiment in this country is propagated by liberals. Instead of wasting time and spending energy condemning conservatives who understand the liberal threat, please focus your efforts on those of your political persuasion and convince them. When a solid 80 of every 100 liberals in this country are against guns and the 2nd Amendment, it seems reasonable to admonish the source rather than those who recognize it. As an example, lets consider a pool full of 50 large crocodiles. You are standing on a diving board contemplating whether or not you should jump in. On good judgement, based on what you know of crocodiles and the danger they present, you decide not to jump in. Wise choice. But why did you make it? Did you consider that of those 50 crocs, maybe a couple of them aren't hungry? Maybe a couple aren't feeling well and would rather not fuss with you? Maybe a couple of them don't particularly like the taste of humans? Well, see? You made a choice to be safe and NOT jump into the pool, but you didn't consider that a few of those crocs might be an exception to what everyone commonly knows of crocodiles. Umm, you may have "stereotyped". AAHHHHH!!! Point is, with a few exceptions, liberals are the source and cause of all anti-gun activity in this country. If you are a liberal who takes exemption to this, then at least realize you are the exception to the rule and don't get pissy when other people acknowledge the rule. Instead, get pissed at your fellow liberals for making you look like an idiot and tell THEM to knock it off.

go back and look at the actual legislation. The gun laws in this country (at the federal level) were passed with overwhelming majority. The AWB passed the senate I think 96-2 with 2 not voting.

Not to mention your 80/20 remark flies directly in the face of the recent polling that was just posted that said 70% of all Americans believe the 2nd protects a person's right to have guns, and that only 65% of democrats believe there needs to be some stricter gun control (although they didn't specify what kind of gun control).

When you want the democrats that are supposedly behind all this legislation (god forbid, there can't be any republicans that want it too!) - stop talking down to people like they're dogs and making ignorant ramblings like the one above - and they might want to hear something you have to say. When you come off with such hostility - people like me don't even want to read past your first post.

And yea, I'm a 'pinko commie liberal' who owns guns, in Liberal New York City no less. If you think i'm going to stand up and fight for YOU - you my friend, are SADLY mistaken.

Progressives want to enact radical social change (they can fix the world).

Liberals want maximum personal liberties and minimal state control.

But until the left kook fringe realizes why and how they're wrong, and what their agenda will do (and is doing) to this Nation, then I'm in the fight for as long as it takes.

It isn't that they don't know that they're wrong. They'd be simply wrong if they were well intended and thought that what they want to do was the way to achieve what we want but simply from another angle. That isn't the case. What they want to do is wrong. What they want to do is destroy what is and replace it with something else, not make work what we already have and what we're supposed to have and supposed to be. They're like suicide bombers or kamikazes, not well intended people with another theory on how to go about the same thing as we are. You can't argue with someone that they're going about it the wrong way if their starting premise AND their goals are different when you're advocating a means which achieves something different than what they want as an end result.

As far as the response to all the pecker comments, consider that they already know they've lost the debate and are stooping to cheap insults. They CANNOT respond on a logical basis debating the issue when that kind of stuff is in play, so drag them away from it and back into the logical plane of discussion. You're not dealing with good people simply using "arguing with emotions", you're dealing with childishness and irrationality. Address accordingly in a firm manner and do not put up with the nonsense. You very well can bring them back to their senses but only if you demand such. It's nothing more than a simple matter of crowd control like calming down an angry drunk or belligerent customer.

I think that it is a misconception that liberals hate guns. It seems to be that a minority of liberals hate guns but they just tend to scream louder than the rest of us or control sources of the media.
