It's childish to spend money on ammo and guns when you have real debts and interest to worry about. Pay off the other **** then spend your money on fun things, like guns.

I'm sure you'd be upset if she had credit car bills and a car payment but instead spent hundreds a month on new shoes.

I bought the girlfriend a sparkly diamond ring to put on her left ring finger. That quieted her for a while. I was able to buy a few things without her complaining. Then I stripped my 223 Saiga and I'm in the process of painting it Tiffany Blue with a Chrome bolt for her. That allowed me to upgrade my Saiga to the 7.62 with a wooden stock and POSP scope, and I think she's still happy enough I might go buy a Mauser HSc 7.65 today...

This so right on many occasions. i work, my wife gets to stay home all day and raise our family that is her job. she is compensated well for it. going out to eat when ever she wants, shopping alday to her hearts content traveling nearly every weekend to go see her parents with me and our son.

the way i see it, as long as the bills are covered and there is a roof over our head and food on the table, i can spend what ever extra money i have on what ever i want.

i put cash aside every paycheck just for my self and just for her. she can do what she wants with it and i can do what i want with it. yest, it might be the most prudent thing to pay extra on a CC bill but damnit i dont wanna and im not gonna

What's your interest rate on your credit card(s)? If you don't immediately know, that's a problem because then that means you don't know how much every month you are paying MORE for what you bought sometime ago. If you really do, then you probably wouldn't say that.

You live how you want to, but some things jump at me and I have to respond because I think some of you here are pretty young to the "game". You will have MORE money to spend on what you love if you don't carry any credit card debt and pay the bill fully every statement so you don't carry interest on what you bought. More stays in your pocket. Fundamental.

In all seriousness, to the OP, it would probably do you well to cut back a bit and just buy ammo but no new toys. Get that debt paid off like your life depends on it! I think you'll find that what you're paying in interest every month on your debt will give you a nice ammo fund; the money going towards the principal will make a nice firearms/purse/shoes/dresses fund and you'll both be happy!

I HATE debt so much that I sold my nice diesel truck and paid cash for an older, rougher diesel, sold a motorcycle (I still owe a little on my other bike) and a few other things...now I have a bunch of extra money to buy toys and ammo to use in them.

pay off the debt. I dont mean wait 30years to finish your mortgage, but pay off the bike(s) and CC. If you already own guns now - good, enjoy them. Care for them.

But you dont need to be pissing money away on an arsenal while you are paying hundreds of dollars per month in interest on other unpaid "toys"

she's right in one reguard, you should get your other finances in order before you go gun crazy, but you should still be able to buy ammo. maybe just not 1000 rounds at a time for each gun.

it's all about compromise my good man. next time she buys some clothes or some shoes, just point out that the cost of what she bought would have gotten you XX amount of ammo. of course, she'll point your ammo is useless once you shoot it, and she can use here shoes and clothes whenever (though we both know she wont!!) but that's when you say (very calmly and not accusatory), "you know honey, you're right. but if i can't spend any money on gun stuff, i don't think it's fair that you spend money on something that you wont use very much and you dont actually need. i shouldn't have to be the only one making the sacrifices to get our finances in order"

i did that with my wife and she slowly came around to see that she's gonna have to let me buy some gun stuff every once in a while, and i'll let her have her shoes and purses and things too. you might have to cut back a little, but approach her with really good deals and not just things you think are cool, and she'll open up to it.

remember though, that drug they call vagina is a powerful weapon and women will not hesitate to use it against us!!!! don't make her resort to restricting your drug flow because you will lose the war at that point!!!! my wife knows i'll sell off everything i own to get my fix.....thank god she's a generous woman though and doesn't turn me into a junkie!
