Someone on another forum found some photos off that site. I think for the most part these are amateur crooks, but I'm sure all criminals can gain something from that information. Some of the stuff there makes you think they're 5 year olds.

That's a good site to monitor. Knowing your enemies strategies and techniques can be very useful.

Sometimes when I read a crime related news article I always think to my self. How the hell did that happen or what the hell was the perpetrator thinking.

Now we can understand how the average criminal mind works.

Last year I did a google search on my friend who was killed in the line of duty, one of the sites that popped up was Ghetto Bragging Rights. It really got my blood boiling. This site says they don't advocate Cop killing but they "roll out the red carpet for the brothers that do kill cops". It had a picture of one of my best friends on there and said "Officer Moody don't rest in piece".

I just looked again and they are celebrating that sack of SH*T Clemmons that killed those 4 officers in WA, it goes on to say that Clemmons rec. 288 virgins when he got to heaven. It goes on about the other sack of SH*T that killed those 4 OPD officers one of them I worked with at a College PD. Got to love the 1st A.

Deadbolt, that's why you should keep a pair of sweat bottoms or gym shorts on your nightstand like I do.

I keep a pair of sleeping shorts on mine and my HD gun is in the nightstand drawer. My home is alarmed and I figure I have enough time to put them on and grab the gun before he makes it to my bedroom if he has not already run due to the alarm.

Of course, if you confront a bad guy naked, it could work out in your favor. He'll either be so scared, you will get the drop on him or he will be on the floor laughing so hard, he will drop any weapon he might have.

You guys think this forum is scary. What do you think does on in prison all day everyday. prison is the higher education institution for Criminals. Go in for stealing a bike, come out doing home invasion robberies.

I would love to introduce them to my friends Hydrashock and .308 win HPs if they decide to do a home invasion at my house.

I want to open an account there a notify them that the gun owning community knows about their website, and that they are putting themselves in mortal danger by doing so. LOL. Maybe post some pics of guns along with that. I'll make sure to do it from a computer that is not at my home in case they use their hacker methods to figure out where the posting came from.

The one that scared me the most was a thead on home invasion.

they mentioned using cell phone jammers when breaking a house to keep people from being able to call the cops and taking out the dominate male first.

It's super scary that there is a place like this for these idiots to trade ideas off each other.

What is your plan for home defense? For instance I keep guns in my room when I'm sleeping but what if you wake up and he's IN your room? I keep pepper spray and a knife in bed with me in case of that happening. my gun is close but if someone was on top of me i wouldn't be able to reach it from bed.

I've thought about getting a couple small handguns and hiding them inside coffee cans or other innocent looking containers throughout the house just in case I'm not in my gun room.

Also considered keeping a shotgun outside in a concealed area (shed or in a hidden compartment inside of a fence or wall) - in case I came home and someone was already inside harming my wife.

any other home defense/protection tips or ideas?

I need to make sure all my windows cannot be slid open and block them with a wood dowel if they can be.
I generally don't care for the keyboard commando bit, but this thread seems interesting, so a few bits of advise:

                    - Place objects you think you might want for dealing with a home invasion in such a manner that you can get to them in their order of importance. For example. Within reach is my gun. If that is all I have time to get before it is time to shoot, then at least I will have something to shoot. Next to the gun is a flashlight. $20 at Walmart can get you a reliable aluminum 2 cell light that puts out 80 - 120 lumens. Then glasses (mine are prescription with ballistic rated lenses - yellow tints can prevent muzzle flash from killing your night vision with out distorting color perception). Then electronic muffs (I have el cheapos from Sportsman's Guide - they work great). Then cell phone (you might have time to call it in, you might just be calling for cleanup).

                    - If you hear suspicious noise and see that your cell phone has been jammed, assume the worst (and by worst I mean multiple armed professionals in body armor with a well planned multi entrance attack looking to sell you for spare parts). Act accordingly.

                    - Arrange your furniture in your bedroom such that windows are covered enough to not permit quick access to an intruder. You probably can't do your whole house like that without looking like a loony, but something as simple as putting a head board against the window could be enough and not even look odd.

                    - Lock your bedroom door. If your door doesn't have a lock, get one. Hollow core doors won't stop much, but they at least complicate quiet access. Point is you want to make them make enough noise and take long enough to get to you that you are getting to them with lead before they make it.

                    - Redundant locks on windows such as wooden dowels are a great idea.

                    - Best place for a HD shotgun IMO is on a bedside rack. You can buy them, or simply make one out of a sheet of plywood and a pair of utility hooks like the type you use to hang tools or bikes in your garage. You slip the sheet of plywood between the mattress and box spring and mount the hooks to hold the shotgun next to the mattress. Consider a breach lock to prevent unauthorized access (but leave the key in or remove the lock altogether while you sleep).

                    - Have your gun as close to you as legally and practically possible. You can CC at home (I will never understand why somebody would want to get a CCW but then not CC at home where no license is required), and have a handgun unloaded and locked with you most of the time and have one at least left in your car the rest of the time. Rather than trying to find hiding places outside for guns, just make use of your car. Since I have a fenced yard, I can load up in my driveway, and I'm always armed walking into my house. I don't think hiding guns around the house is a good idea because if somebody breaks in they will find them (happens all the time - your best hiding place isn't hidden enough) and you could end up facing one of your own guns. Besides you could scatter a dozen guns around your house and still be able to get to a holster faster than a hiding place.

                    - If you are pondering shooting for home defense, I'm guessing you like to shoot and want to put a good skill to good use. That being the case I'm willing to bet you would love hand to hand training (it is a similar mentality but quite a bit more hands on). Finding a good instructor can be a bit of a quest, but well worth it. Anybody who is "on top of me" besides my wife when I wake up just delivered their own beat down. If you really wake up to an intruder that isn't a rank armature, you are going to need much more than good shooting skills.

                    - Mace does what it is supposed to do. It causes pain and damages vision temporarily. Just don't bet your life on that stopping somebody.

                    - Most of the people on tacticool-aid websites (both criminal and legitimate) are mall ninjas. They are overweight unfit slobs posting from their mother's basement. But there are still the legitimate people that surf those forums for ideas. The same applies to criminals. There are career home invaders that are very good at what they do. Usually the intelligence to be a good criminal is it's own deterrent to crime, but every now and again you get very intelligent criminals that have there stuff together (I'd venture a guess that there are plenty of fine CalGuns members that would be a force to reckon with if they turned to a life of crime but the intelligence that led them to their skill set also keeps them from wanting to hurt others).

Rather than hiding guns all over the house, why don't you just carry a holstered handgun? Concealed loaded carry is perfectly legal in your home. It offers the most instant access, and is the safest place to keep firearms out of unauthorized hands (children etc.) while still readily accessible.

What you can do is screw an old holster to the side of your night stand, in between the bed and nightstand. It's a secure hold for a handgun and cannot be seen, and is easy to reach from bed.

Well we've come up w/ some good ideas. I do have a dog, he's a little guy but he barks if he hears a noise.

I like the wood dowel idea. I never EVER unlock my windows and I did a test today to see if I can lift them up. Answer is NOPE. They're locked from the inside with a metal clamp. The ones that slide aren't that good, they lock and I can't slide them open but maybe with a tool.

I tried googling burglar tools to see what would go in a burglar type kit and how they can be used to break into my house but I couldn't really find anything. I imagine it'd be a crowbar and some screw drivers ...

I like the holster/night stand. I still have to get a night stand, Mine is my safe, which I keep unlocked DAILY. I forgot the combo. Not good. I am worried someone might come in during the day and take my stuff, but I live on a busy street and so I dunno - we haven't really had any break ins. I kinda live in a semi sketchy neighborhood and I don't think anybody around here really has anything to steal.

hiding guns vs just keeping one holstered is a great idea. I have considered getting a gun to carry because when I'm in my yard weird people on bike's have approached me and from what I read on sacpd.org guys on bikes w/ bags =potential burglar.

Agreed these kids look like wanna be devil worshipper punks.

you should definately add a layer of sheetmetal all around your house, then hook up electricity to it. wear rubber boots around and you should be good. when someone tries to break in... bam.. or zap... crispy criminal.
