For inside, I have a 40 loaded with snake shot first round all the rest are hollow points. I am going to hurt you with the first shot and the second shot is going to do the trick. out side I have an ax, a chainsaw, a 9ton backhoe and a back 40, come and get yourself some love.

Before I go to bed, I put doorstoppers behind every door, lock all the windows, and arm the home security alarm to night mode so that I can "buy" at least a couple of more minutes to call the police and be ready.

I like the wood dowel idea. I never EVER unlock my windows and I did a test today to see if I can lift them up. Answer is NOPE. They're locked from the inside with a metal clamp. The ones that slide aren't that good, they lock and I can't slide them open but maybe with a tool.

I tried googling burglar tools to see what would go in a burglar type kit and how they can be used to break into my house but I couldn't really find anything. I imagine it'd be a crowbar and some screw drivers ...

I like the holster/night stand. I still have to get a night stand, Mine is my safe, which I keep unlocked DAILY. I forgot the combo. Not good. I am worried someone might come in during the day and take my stuff, but I live on a busy street and so I dunno - we haven't really had any break ins. I kinda live in a semi sketchy neighborhood and I don't think anybody around here really has anything to steal.

hiding guns vs just keeping one holstered is a great idea. I have considered getting a gun to carry because when I'm in my yard weird people on bike's have approached me and from what I read on sacpd.org guys on bikes w/ bags =potential burglar.

Agreed these kids look like wanna be devil worshipper punks.
#1 most effective burglary tool: bump key. No need to break and enter if you can just use the door knob. You can get bump resistant locks or you can get the push button combo locks without cylinders to be bump proof.
