I suspect most departments will be tight lipped and only answer to a lawsuit.

      Why?

OCSD issues pretty freely with a bit of effort on the applicants part; we lead the state with the most issued permits across all counties.

        This should be a poll.

They do need time to read the whole decision. It may not change anything for them.

So, San Diego is staying with "Good Cause"?

          1. The applicant is of good moral character
          2. Good cause exists for issuance of the license
          3. The applicant is a resident of San Diego County or a city within the County and provides proof of residence
          4. The applicant has completed a course of training as described in Section 26165

The concealed weapons license allows the licensee to carry a pistol revolver, or other firearm, capable of being concealed upon the person.

            For now ^

Decision was just released today. As said above, give them time to digest the decision.

That section of the page is unrelated to their statement release. That section was there before, they just didn't break off the sections good.

^ This right there. Malicious compliance. Even when called out it can take a long time to make something happen.

How is it in any California Sheriff's interest to rush and go public with a statement? The defiant reaction of lawless butthurt leftists is on full display, why be the nail that sticks up?

Barnes (OCSD) made a public statement not long ago giving one reason why he requires GC statements. In essence, he said the purpose is to keep Excremento off his back, and keep the permits coming. There is a clear sense that many rank-and-file LEOs want law-abiding people to have permits, and politics is the art of the possible.

Villanueva (LASD) is battling with the carnival of idiots that is LA County government, and the supes that control his budget and desperately want to see him out of office. Word on the street is that Villanueva is not a very bright man, but his advisors have been doing pretty well for him, and I would not be surprised if he is reelected, and continues to issue permits, having realized that it gets him votes. We even have people on this forum stumping for him; is it possible his revision of the CCW policy is what kept him afloat up to this point?

You gotta love the grandstanding. I stopped watching at 11:49 as everything he said they are "going to be doing" is already being done.
                          Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

OCSD released a statement on FB:

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is aware of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision issued this morning regarding concealed-carry weapon (CCW) licenses. We will analyze the Court’s ruling and determine if adjustments need to be made to our CCW policies or procedures. If any changes are made, the information will be posted to our website at www.ocsheriff.gov/ccw. We remain mutually committed to public safety and the individual rights of the community we serve.
